Terms and Conditions of Registration

The registration for use of "India Handloom" Brand is subject to the terms
and conditions indicated below:

I. Standard Quality Parameters

The product shall be woven on handlooms of specified design with zero
defect. Physical quality parameters of each product shall be clearly specified
in the label covering -
o Yarn, Zari, other embellishments/ material used
o Weaving parameters like reed and picks per cm./inch.
. Physical dimensions like length and width (in cm'/inch)
o Dyes/chemicals used
. Colour fastness
. Speciflcation of designs/motifs {along with Registration of the product
under the Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration &
Protection) Act, 1999 if done)
II. Social & Environment Compliance
. That no child labour has been engaged
o That no azo or banned dye has been used and necessary
arrangements have been made for treatment of effluents.

Mentioning of the name, address, mobile number, email along with

photograph of the weaver concerned and washing instruction ( if any) will be
preferred.

III. The registered agency shall make his/her premises and relevant
records available for inspection to the authorised officer as and when
required.

N. Any other conditions to be indicated for achieving the desired

objectives by the Development Commissioner (Handlooms), Ministry of
Textiles, Government of India.

V. In the event of failure to comply with any of the conditions stated

above, the registration will be cancelled and the registered agency will be
liable for legal action under relevant laws.
