Device Help Function
The integrated Device Help Function in DIGSI 4 supports the user in relay parameterization. The Device
Help function can be started with the About button in the appropriate DIGSI window.

The following example shows the available information regarding the settings no. 1103 and 1104.

The Device Help function for the SIPROTEC 4 distance protection relays 7SA6 is included in the V4.60
device drivers for 7SA relays. During installation the appropriate help files will be copied into the following
folders.

Due to memory requirements the DIGSI SP1 CD contains only the help files for 7SA610. But the Device
Help function can be easily activated for the other 7SA6 relay types too (7SA611, 7SA6127SA641). For
this purpose the files 7SA610_a.chm (= German) and 7SA610_b.chm (= English-UK) must be pasted into
each of the appropriate folders of the other 7SA6 devices on the hard disc. The *.chm files are typically
located in the folder C:\Siemens\Digsi4\Manager\P7di\GERATYPS\7SA6xx\V4_6. After pasting, the two
*.chm files need not to be renamed.
