Sheep:

In cold countries, sheeps are reared in herds. Each herd consists of many thousand of sheep. Their
furs are very soft and long. These furs are sheared and made into wool. This wool is made into
warm attires. We also maintain some sheep with our cows. They have very short and coarse kinds
of furs. If we can know the process, such furs too can be put to use. The cruel among us kill those
innocent beasts. They kill the sheep to get their flesh and hides. It is no doubt a barbarous act.

Horse:

Horse is a fine animal. It stands about seven feet high. The mane on its neck is the main feature of
its body. Its tail is a tuft of hair. The horse can run very fast. The ancient kings maintained horses
and war-horses. People used to ride on them. But in the modern times, horses have been replaced
by automobiles. Now horses are used to draw the horse coaches.

Camel:

Camels have been designed for use in deserts. They can store the rations inside their bodies. Hence,
they can travel in the long deserts weeklong without any food or water. Their legs have been
planned mainly for the sands. Hence, camels are called ships of the desert.

Cock:

Cock is a common kind of domestic bird. It wears a red crest on its head. This crest is known as the
cocks comb. The cock is an early riser. Many people rise at the time of cock-crow. The cocks crow
and rouse us from our sleep. The female of the cock is called the hen. She lays eggs. She warms her
eggs and hatches them into chickens. Her eggs are very nutritious. We should rear these birds for
their eggs. Its flesh is good for health.

A dove is a kind of bird in the pigeon family, Columbidae. The names pigeon and dove are often used both
for the same meaning. However, there is a small difference. Doves have a smaller body, and they have
longer tails. Sometimes, though, there can be exceptions. The domestic pigeon is frequently called the
"rock dove". This bird is called the "dove of peace." Pigeons and doves both have thick bodies and short
necks with short, narrow bills. They live in lots of places, but most of them are in places such as Indonesia
and Australia. The young doves and pigeons are called "squabs." There are more than 300 species of doves.
The nests of doves are usually made of sticks. Their two white eggs are incubated by both the male and the
female parent. Doves feed on seeds, fruit and plants. Unlike most other birds, the doves and pigeons
produce a type of milk. Both sexes have this kind of highly nutritious milk to feed to the young.[1]

Fish are a class of aquatic vertebrates. The combination of gills, fins and the fact that they live only in the
water make fish different from all other animals. Fish spend all of their lives in the water and are cold-
blooded with the exception of Tuna family and the Mackerel shark family. Scientists believe that there are
more than 24,000 different species of fish in the world. They range in size from the largest, Whale shark at
16 m (51 ft) long, to the smallest the 8 mm (1/4 in.) Stout Infantfish.
Elephant:

Elephant is the biggest animal of the world. Kings and emperors were used to mount on elephants.
The war elephants were maintained by the ancient monarchs. Now-a-days, elephants are used to
carry heavy logs of wood. The tusks of the tuskers are very costly

The zoological name of tiger (national animal) is Panthera tigris. It is a carnivorous animal which
comes under the category of mammal as it gives birth to a child. It belongs to the cat family as a
largest living member. It is found all around Asia especially in the countries like Bhutan, China,
India, and Siberia. Bengal tigers are generally found in Sundarbans (watery jungle) located in
Bangladesh and West Bengal including other south-east Asian countries. They are found in various
colors especially white, blue and orange with black stripes. Black stripes on their upper body help
them to hide away while hunting. Each and every tiger has different pattern of stripes on their body.

The 'lion' is a wild animal. It has a strong body. It is four-legged. It has a large head. Its
eyes have a glowing look. It has sharp teeth and strong claws. Its body is covered with
greyish small and smooth hair.

The lion is called the king of the forest. It has a majestic appearance. The lion is not so
cruel as a tiger. It eats flesh. It can run very fast. The roar of the lion is very famous. It
roars very loudly. The lions are found in forests. Its paws are very strong. Its footprint's are
known as pug-marks.

The 'elephant' is a very huge animal. It grows a height of about 10 feet. It is usually coarse
dark in color. Its skin is too hard for any kind of thorns to penetrate. It has long trunk. It has
two white tusks and two ears hanging like big fans. It has two small eyes and a broad
body. It has a short tail and four legs. The elephant is usually found in forests.

An elephant is very useful to man. It is very intelligent and obedient. It can be trained and
used for various purposes. Its trunk is very useful. It eats and drinks and lifts up thing with
it. It carries heavy loads and guns for him. In olden time, elephants were used in war.
The name "leopard" comes from the Greek word leopardus, which is a combination of leon (lion)
and pardus (panther), according to PBS Nature.

Leopards don't need much water. They survive from the moisture they get from eating their prey.

It is no wonder that leopards are such great hunters. They can run up to 36 mph (58 kph), jump
forward 20 feet (6 meters) and leap 10 feet (3 m) straight up, according to the San Diego Zoo.

Though classified as a roaring cat, leopards usually bark when they have something to say.

Leopards' ears can hear five times more sounds that the human ear.

The leopard's spots are called rosettes because they look like roses.

The genus Leopardus does not include leopards. Members of that genus include cats of Central and
South America, such as ocelots, oncillas, margays, Pampas cats, Geoffrey's cat, guias and Andean
cats.

Deer are part of the Cervidae family that include moose, reindeer, elk and other species.
Male deer grow new antlers each year.
Animals such as antelope resemble deer in a number of ways but have horns instead of
antlers, the difference being that horns are not grown and replaced like antlers are.
During the mating season male deer will often use their antlers to fight for the attention of
female deer.
Many species of deer have been hunted over the years for their antlers.
A male deer is usually called a buck.
A large male deer is often called stag.
A female deer is usually called a doe.
A young deer is usually called a fawn.
A group of deer is known as a herd.
Deer have long legs typically suited to the environments they live in.
They can jump high and swim well.
Most deer are born with white spots but lose them within a year.
Deer take their first steps within half an hour of their birth.
Young deer will usually stay with their mother for around a year.
