Connecting Data Manager to DeltaV

In your DeltaV Explorer, select the Launch User Manager button from your toolbar.

Right-click in the Users panel and select New.

The System account already exists in Windows. Enter a name of SYSTEM and de-select the
Operating System (Windows) Account checkbox. The screen will appear similar to the
following:

Select the Groups tab. Select all of the available groups in the left-hand panel and select the
Add button.

Leave the default plant area of Sitewide, and click OK.

Confirm that all groups have been added, and click OK.

Return to the main Explorer window. It will be necessary to perform a download of your
workstation for the security changes to take effect. Right-click on your workstation as shown, and
select Download->Setup Data.

Select Yes to complete the download

Close the download window when complete.

Data Manager Configuration:

In DCOMCNFG , change the Authentication Level for Matrikon Data Manager to None

Please ensure all other security permissions are followed as per the general DCOM documentation.

Restart the Matrikon Data Manager service. Data Manager can now browse, read, and write tags
in DeltaV while running under the system account.
