Malta Farms Rules and Regulations

Length of the Program

The length of your stay at Malta Farms will be six months. During this time, each
resident will be required to meet all guidelines and basic expectations. There are two
phases within our program. Phase I consists of the discipleship classes and in house
work schedule. Phase II will allow residents to gain employment and remain with us
for an additional amount of time.

Basic Expectations

We believe that transformation takes place with God's guidance. The bible teaches us
that only God can make a lasting change in the heart of His people. The basic
expectations of Malta Farms are enforced to help sustain a positive environment in
which each resident can begin there renewing process. Our hope is that each person
who voluntarily chooses to be a part of our ministry will maintain a genuine hunger
for the Lord and humbleness towards those who want to help him.

1)Maintain program schedule and attendance requirements.

2)Attitudes should be maintained at all times. This involves avoiding gossip, keeping
oneself from complaining and murmuring and showing respect to all residents and
staff.

3)Your words should be guarded at all times.

4)Complete abstinence from the use of alcohol, drugs, and pharmaceutical medicines
is expected from each resident. (ALL RESIDENTS CAN BE REQUIRED TO TAKE
A DRUG TEST AT ANY TIME DURING THEIR STAY AT MALTA FARMS)

5)Outside of scheduled work time off the farm, all residents will remain on site unless
accompanied by a staff member or as proper phasing allows.

6)Threats of violence will not be tolerated.

7)Approved visitation will take place on the weekends. Visitors will consist of
immediate family only. All visitations must be approved by staff.

8)There will be phone that all residents will have access to during the evening hours.
No cell phones or any electrical devices are allowed during your time here at Malta
Farms.
9)Each resident is required to make all scheduled classes and church meetings. (NO
EXCEPTION) FULL RESPECT OF ALL TEACHERS IS REQUIRED.

10)Staff housing should be considered off limits at all times without prior invitation.
**The basic expectations are subject to change

Work Schedule

A part of the ministry at Malta Farms takes place in a working environment. Malta
Farms is a working operation that allows us to produce a portion of our own funding.
Residents will meet class time requirements here on the farm along with various farm
projects during the first phase. Afterwards, residents are given a chance to gain
employment. All employment gained must work within the farms Schedule.
Individual responsibilities will be given to each resident to maintaining a resident to
enter our facility. No compensation can be given for work done on the farm. We
consider this to be a part of the way each resident meets their portion of living
expenses.

Weekends

here will be times that residents will have Saturday work projects. Other weekends
may be filled with other volunteer opportunities in the community. Visitations will
take place fully. Therefore, we schedule trips periodically, to take our guys away form
work, and play responsibly. These weekends may include trips that are in another
state. Some trips may have to be approved by parole/probation officers before leaving
the state.

Church Attendance

We know that there are many Christ-centered congregations in this area, but trying to
get each resident to their church home would be quite impossible. To avoid this, all
residents will attend one church. Trinity Church is a non-denominational church
located in Lubbock. All residents will be required to be in church and Sunday school
classes every week. Since our curriculum is a four day teaching, this will allow all
residents to attend Wednesday services as well.

Relationships

No relationships with the opposite sex may be gained, pursued, or continued during
your stay at Malta Farms.

Because of limited space in the dormitory, we have to regulate what each resident

the a greater level of responsibility. Completion of these tasks will fall solely on the

Reasons for Delayed Phasing

*Failure to meet basic expectations will result in a write up.

*One write up will result in a one week delay in phasing and privileges.
*Two write ups will result in a two week delay in all phasing and privileges.
Third write up will result in the resident being removed from the program.
Our rules are put in place to protect our men. They are not here in any way to
discourage them or to bring them low. We wish to maintain an environment where
men can reside in a peaceful atmosphere while growing in their relationship with the
Lord, and working through daily life challenges.
