Night of Silence
The cattle are lowing the baby awakes
Cold are the people, winter of life, But little lord Jesus no crying he makes.
We tremble in shadows this cold endless I love you lord Jesus; look down from the sky
night, And stay by my side until morning is nigh.
Frozen in the snow lie roses sleeping,
Flowers that will echo the sunrise, Be near me lord Jesus i ask you to stay
Fire of hope is our only warmth, Close by me for ever, and love me, i pray.
Weary, it's flame will be dying soon. Bless all the dear children in your tender
care,
Voice in the distance, call in the night, And fit us for heaven, to live with you there.
On wind you enfold us You speak of the light,
Gentle on the ear you whisper softly, 4. Once in Royal Davids city
Rumours of a dawn so embracing,
Breathless love awaits darkened souls, Once in royal Davids city,
Soon will we know of the morning. Stood a lowly cattle shed,
Where a mother laid her Baby,
Spirit among us, shine like the star, In a manger for His bed:
Your light that guides shepherds and kings Mary was that mother mild,
from afar, Jesus Christ, her little Child.
Shimmer in the sky so empty, lonely,
Rising in the warmth of your Son's love, He came down to earth from heaven,
Star unknowing of night and day, Who is God and Lord of all,
Spirit we wait for your loving Son. And His shelter was a stable,
And His cradle was a stall:
2. Silent night With the poor, and mean, and lowly,
Lived on earth our Saviour holy.
Silent night, holy night,
All is calm, all is bright, For He is our childhood's pattern;
Round yon Virgin Mother and child, Day by day, like us, He grew;
Holy infant so tender and mild, He was little, weak, and helpless,
Sleep in heavenly peace, Tears and smiles, like us He knew;
Sleep in heavenly peace. And He cares when we are sad,
And he shares when we are glad.
Silent night! holy night!
Shepherds quake at the sight And our eyes at last shall see Him,
Glories stream from heaven afar Through His own redeeming love;
Heavenly hosts sing Alleluia For that Child so dear and gentle,
Christ the Saviour is born! Is our Lord in heaven above:
Christ the Saviour is born! And He leads His children on,
To the place where He is gone.
Silent night! holy night!
Son of God love's pure light
Radiant beams from thy holy face 5. O little town of Bethlehem
With the dawn of redeeming grace,
Jesus, Lord at thy birth. O little town of Bethlehem
Jesus, Lord at thy birth. How still we see thee lie
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep
3. Away in a manger The silent stars go by
Yet in thy dark streets shineth
Away in a manger no crib for a bed The everlasting Light
The little lord Jesus laid down his sweet head The hopes and fears of all the years
The stars in the bright sky looked down Are met in thee tonight
where he lay
The little lord Jesus asleep on the hay. For Christ is born of Mary
And gathered all above
While mortals sleep, the angels keep 7. We Three Kings of Orient Are
Their watch of wondering love
O morning stars together We three kings of Orient are
Proclaim the holy birth Bearing gifts we traverse afar
And praises sing to God the King Field and fountain, moor and mountain
And Peace to men on earth Following yonder star
