Peace Church Annual Meeting is set for January 21st after morning
worship service. Annual reports should be submitted to the church
office as soon as possible.
Anyone wishing to be on the Peace Church Council contact Chairman
Tom Gardner. This is a three year term.
WELCA will meet on Wednesday, January 10th at 1pm.
Thank you to everyone who purchased a poinsettia.
Peace Church Council Meeting Minutes
November 8th, 2017; 6:00 pm

Present: Tom Gardner, Gaylene Hanson, Lois Scherer, Joyce Hanson, Lexi Danner

Absent: Pastor Evenson, Marilyn Frykman, Jim Johnson, Charles Johnson, Treasurer Sandy
Kashmark

Meeting called to order by Chairman Tom Gardner at 6:05 pm.

Motion by Lexi, seconded by Joyce, to approve the secretary’s report. MCU

Motion by Lois, seconded by Gaylene, to approve the treasurer’s report and the payment of
October’s transaction list. MCU (It was suggested that all purchases made with the church
debit card have a paper trail, receipts, to help Sandy Kashmark code the payments).

No Pastor’s report.

Old Business:
~Valley Scare – Heather Danner was not present to give report.
~Sunday service cancellation policy – depends on if Pastor Sarah can make it
~Christmas Day Service – Tom will talk to Pastor Sarah
~2018 Council Election – 3 candidates are needed. Jim will serve one more year. Joyce has
contacted two possible candidates. Lexi will talk to Ryanne Long to see if she would sub for
Lexi when she cannot attend meetings. Tom will announce openings at church and will be in
newsletter and bulletins.
~Office printer/copier purchase – printer is user friendly and makes color copies

New Business:
~Snow removal – it was decided to continue with Jared Frykman’s company
~Food shelf donation Sunday – Sunday School is collecting items on Nov. 12th
~Sunday worship service – sermon style discussed, more common hymns
~2018 Budget – Pastor Sarah renewal – coming up in January

Other:
~Directory update – photographer will be here on Sunday to take pictures
