Hawkeye fans love their classic cars,


whether they’re parked at a tailgater
or just cruising First Avenue in Cor-
alville, better known to Hawk fans as
‘Hayden Fry Way.’
FRY Fest will showcase some great
classic wheels at the Show & Shine
Car Show, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
FRYday, Sept. 3.
The car show will be free and open to
the public. Located close to the trade
show and concert grounds, as well as
being near the Antique Car Museum in
Coralville, “It’s a great place to show-
case the cars, right along 9th Street,”
says Geni Krier, FRY Fest director.
Last year, 50 cars were on display, and organizers expect a similar num-
ber again this year. “We had a good collection of both classic cars and
