It is important to remember when choosing which mathematics series to take, Math 10A-B-C or
Math 20A-B-C, as only the 20A-B-C satisfies the prerequisites for certain upper division courses.
Plan 1 assumes that Econ 1, 3 and Math 10A/20A, 10B/20B, 10C/20C are completed before
you arrive at UCSD.

*Economics majors will have a total of five Upper Division electives: two Economics Advanced Electives and
three Economics Standard Electives:
The Economics Advanced Electives are: Econ 103, 104, 105, 109, 113, 121, 122, 125, 136, 141,
142, 143, 146, 147, 150, 151, 152, 166, 171, 172A, 172B, 173A, 173B, 174, 176, and 178. Math
194 (refer to course description for enforced prerequisites list).
The Economics Standard Electives are: any 4-unit Economics course numbered 100-199. Note: core
courses cannot be used to satisfy this category.
