To have alternative we now propose another vendor i.e. M/S Bajrang Alloys Ltd- Raipur.
His credentials are mentioned as below
He has required set up, to take care of our requirement of Quantity as well as Quality.

Dear Sir,
This has the reference to your above mentioned letter where in you have approved ISHB 200 @
37.25 Kg/ mtr as a rock support structure for URI-II H.E.P.
As per your approval we are using the above mentioned section as rock support structure.
However, during bending, it is observed that due to smaller web thickness (6.1mm) there occurs
buckling and wave formation in the web of the ISHB.
Hence you are requested to approve the heavier section i.e. ISHB 200 X 200 @ 40 Kg/mtr (web
thickness 7.8 mm), for better quality rock support.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
for Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd.

Dear Sir,
Reference is invited to our letter no quoted above regarding approval of Structural Steel Section
as rock support structure for URI-II H.E.P.
As per the approval we are using ISHB 200 @ 37.3 Kg / m section as rock support structure
(Rib). However, during bending, it is observed that due to smaller web thickness (6.1 mm)
buckling and wave formation occurs in the flange of the ISHB.
At present our approved suppliers are not able to supply the ISHB 200 @ 37.3 Kg / m sections
as the same are not readily available at the market.
In view of above we proposed to purchase and use ISHB 200 @ 40 Kg / m (web thickness 7.8
mm) as rock support structure (Rib) of URI-II H.E.P, for better quality rock support.
It is requested to approve the same at the earliest and regularize the payment as per actual.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
for Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd.

Dear Sir,
Reference is invited to our letters cited above regarding approval of Structural Steel Section
HB 200 @ 40 Kg/mtr as rock support structure.
The methodology for rib supports using HB-200 with the unit weight of 37.3 kg/mtr, has been
approved against our proposal for using HB-200 with unit weight 40 kg/mtr.
In this regard it is to be pointed out that when we use HB200 with unit weight 37.3 kg/m as per
approval, it is noticed that the ribs got buckled during bending due to the smaller web thickness
(6.1mm) and there is wave formation in the flange. This has been informed to your site
representatives and the same has also been inspected in our fabrication yard.
In order to have better workability and quality of rock supports, we procured the HB200 with unit
weight 40 kg/mtr with web thickness of 7.8mm. Hence it is requested that necessary approval
may be accorded for the use of HB200 with unit weight 40 kg/mtr in the interest of ensuring
quality in rock supports.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully,
for Hindustan Construction Co. Ltd.

Dear Sir,
Reference is invited to our letters cited above regarding approval of Structural Steel Section
HB 200 @ 40 Kg/mtr as rock support structure.
As the approval pending on this issue, no payment has been considered for the difference in the
weight of 3 kg/RM, against the usage of HB200 with the unit weight 40kg/RM, instead of
37.30kg/RM, due to the reasons explained in our letter references cited above, and the total
quantity of this difference in weight is accumulated to about 40MT.
Hence it is once again requested that necessary approval may be accorded for the usage of
HB200 with unit weight 40kg/RM and the payment on the same may be released at the earliest
so as to have smooth cash flow in order to avoid any impact on the progress of works.
