Your essay must be completely free and honest. You need not put your name or roll number, so that
your note is anonymous. However you should enter a random number (10 digit alpha numeric) in your
typed assignment. You should send by email the same random number to the PGP Office
(pcesubmission@iima.ac.in). A format of the first page of your assignment is enclosed. The format of the
page to the submitted to the PGP Office is also enclosed.

We (Faculty/ AA) would only read your assignment to evaluate the same for Pass /Not Pass. A list of
alphanumeric code and the evaluation would be sent to PGP Office. PGP Office would inform you of the
result, and in case you don’t pass you will have to make re-submission in the same way; with a fresh
random number, within 1 week of intimation. At most two resubmissions would be allowed. A ‘Fail’
grade would be assigned if the report is not up to the mark even after two resubmissions.

Reflect on your life and decisions you have taken. Bring out a situation where you faced
an ethical dilemma. This could either be in the context of an organization or otherwise.
Describe the same in some detail. What was your response to the situation? What were
the pressures on you with regard to the various choices? What were the sources /basis
of these influences/ pressures on you? What was the final choice you made? When you
now consider your action what explains the same? Would have acted differently had
you then been what you are today? How would you describe yourself? (Kindly describe
yourself in general terms which are sufficiently informative but without any specific
detail, as you are now, going particularly into your moral moorings, upbringing and
overall experience, values held by you / your parents /guardians and influential teachers
/ others).

Those with substantial work experience are encouraged to write about an organizational situation.

You should not write more than 1200 words.
