had a relaxing holiday break filled with
family and friends. As we start back to
school this new year let us reflect and pray.
Dear God,
Thank you that you make all things new.
Thank you for all that you’ve allowed into our
lives this past year, the good along with the
hard things, which have reminded us how
much we need you and rely on your
presence filling us every single day. Shine
your light in us, through us, over us. May we
make a difference in this world. Set your way
before us. May all your plans succeed. May
we reflect your peace and hope to a world
that so desperately needs your presence and
healing. Amen.
Calendar Sweepstakes – Please continue
to sell the sweepstake calendars! All
calendars need to be returned to the
school office by Friday, January 26th.

Prairie Catholic Basketball Tournaments
Help is still needed in a couple of areas
for both the Girls & Boys Basketball
tournaments. If you are available to
help, please contact the school office
or Jason Knapp at
jasonknapp@centurytel.net. Thank you
in advance if you are able to help out!
Class of 2022- Incoming freshmen –
parents and students will meet in the
Little Theater on Monday, January 8,
2018 at 6:30pm. The purpose of the
meeting will be to share information
regarding next year courses and
schedules.
Prairie Catholic Talent Show – There is
still time to sign up! See enclosed sign-
up sheet in today’s brown envelope.
School Cancellation / Late Starts – Please
remember that in the case of inclement
weather Prairie Catholic will follow the
public school cancellation, late start or
early out postings. Please listen to the
radio, check TV station, or websites
regarding notices. Remember if Prairie du
Chien Public School has delayed or
cancelled, the same will apply for Prairie
Catholic. This would be a good time to
check how you have set up to receive
notices from Skylert. You can do this by
logging on to Skyward, and clicking the
Skylert tab on the left hand side of the
screen. Please verify phone numbers and
email address. If any changes are made,
click the save button in the upper right
hand corner.
Christmas Program DVD- Anyone interested in
purchasing a DVD of the Christmas Program
please contact the school office by either
calling or emailing rziel@prairiecatholic.org.
Spelling Bee – Prairie Catholic will hold its
school wide Spelling Bee on Friday, January
19th at 2:15pm. The following students will be
participating: Karly Kramer, Camryn Knapp,
Olivia Colson, Shelby Schroeder, Asher Pitzer,
Sam Kramer, Michael Bjurquist, JT Egstad,
Shawn Egstad, Dawson Eastman, Owen
Teynor, Ava Hager, Tommy Mara, Ryan Waller,
Nick Holler, Nick Mara, and Matthias Gerhards.
Catholic School’s Week Poster Contest –
Information regarding the poster contest for
grades 1-8 is included with the weekly
information.
Illness - We ask that your child remain at home
if he/she has diarrhea, a sore throat, earache,
a skin rash, an eye infection, vomiting, or an
elevated temperature. Often a day at home
and bed rest will prevent more serious illness,
encourage more rapid recovery and diminish
the opportunity of the disease spreading
among your child's classmates.
