Sura Fatir (or The Originator of Creation of The

Angels)

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Praise be to God, Who created the heavens and the earth out of
nothing. He appointed the angels as messengers having two or three or four
wings. He multiplies His creation as He pleases and has the power over all the
things. If God bestows His mercy on mankind no one can withhold it and if He
withholds it no one can release it. He is Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. Is
there any other creator than God, who gives you sustenance from heaven or
earth? There is no god but He: how then you are deceived away from the
Truth? If (O Muhammad), if they reject you, the apostles before you were also
rejected by their people. All the affairs are decided by your Lord. O mankind!
Certainly, the Promise of God is true. Beware, let not the life of the world
deceive you nor the Chief Deceiver (Satan) deceive you about your Lord.
Satan is an enemy of mankind. So do not fall into his snare. He only leads his
followers to the blazing Fire. Those who disbelieve and reject God, there
awaits for them a terrible Punishment. But for those who believe and do
righteous deeds, for them will be forgiveness and a magnificent reward in the
hereafter.

Is he, to whom his evil conduct seems charming, a good human? For
God leaves to stray whom He wills, and guides whom He wills. So, (O
Muhammad) do not worry or be disheartened by such men’s attitude. For God
knows well all that they do! It is God, Who sends the winds and they raise up
the clouds. Then He drives them to a dead land and revives therewith the
earth. Such will be the Resurrection (on the Day of Judgement). If anyone
seeks glory and power, it is to God belongs all the glory and power. Seeking
Him, mankind attains to the highest glory and power. No good is ever lost. It
goes on to the Throne of God. The humblest Good in word or deed, is exalted
to high rank. Those, who lay evil plots against righteousness, inevitably carries
its own punishment, and their plots are bound to fail miserably. Further, He
created man from dust, then from a sperm-drop. Then He made people in pairs
(male and female). It is in His knowledge what a female conceives or to lay
down her load. And it is He Who knows the length of one’s life. These facts of
life are all ordained by God and their reasons are fully known to Him alone.
All the bodies of flowing water are not equal – some are saltish and bitter
while others are sweet and potable. Yet from both the kinds, fresh fish is
available as food for the mankind and also some precious materials (pearls,
etc), for the use of mankind as ornaments. And that you see the ships sailing
on the waters thereby you seek His bounty and that you may be grateful of
your Lord. It is your Lord who merges Night into Day (summer) and Day into
Night (winter). The sun and the moon are subjected to His Law, each runs in
its prescribed course and are in the service of mankind. To Him alone belongs
all the Dominion and not to the false or imaginary objects whom the
unbelievers invoke. These gods of theirs neither listens them and nor could
answer them. On the Day of Judgement their gods will just reject them and
will not own the responsibility of their evil concepts or deeds. And none (O
man!) can tell you the Truth better than He Who is All-Wise and All-Knowing.
Why not accept His Message and receive His guidance?

You (O men!) depend upon God: but God is the One Free of all sorts of
wants, Worthy of all praise. If He wills, He just can remove you from the
surface of the earth and bring up a new generation. And that is not hard task
for your Lord. Every soul has to bear the burden of its own sins and the
punishment thereof. The responsibility is strictly personal. Any good of any
individual will benefit him alone and there shall be no burden-sharing by any
soul. So, fear your Lord unseen and establish regular prayer. The final
destination of all is to God. Just as the blind and the seeing, the darkness and
the light, the cold and the hot are not alike. Same is the case with the living
and those who are dead. God can make any that He wills to hear; but you (O
Muhammad) can not make those to hear who are buried in the graves. You are
truly sent as a warner; and as a bearer of good news. There were no people of
the past without a warner among them and living with them. If these people
reject you so did their predecessors to their apostle who had clear Signs and
Books of spiritual teachings, rules and laws of reward and punishment. In the
end, those who rejected the Faith were terribly punished.

Do you not see that God sends down rain from the sky? He then
produces from rain the wonderful variety of crops and fruits of different
colours (golden, green, yellow, etc, etc.). These colours and shades of colours
are also in rocks and mineral products. Same is true with human beings,
crawling creatures and cattle (i.e. Nature’s brilliant show of adornment in its
creation). Only God’s servants, who know, i.e., who have the knowledge
which comes through their acquaintance with the spiritual world, can truly
understand Nature’s gorgeous pageantry. They are the people who know that
fear of God is the beginning of wisdom. For such fear is akin to appreciation
and love, – appreciation of all the marvelous beauties of God’s outer and inner
world and love because of His Grace and Kindness. But God’s forgiveness
extends to many who do not truly understand Him: for God is Exalted in
Might, Oft-Forgiving. Those of His Servants, who seriously repeat the
recitation of Qur-an; and seek to get closer and closer to God by regular prayer
and move to practical charity, in hidden or open form, should hope for a
profitable, imperishable, business with their Lord. That He will pay them back
their wages and increase them His grace. Lo! He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Ready
to appreciate service. (O Muhammad) Qur-an is revealed to you in Truth. It
also confirms the other heavenly Books revealed earlier. Be sure God is well
acquainted and fully observant with respect to His Servants. The inheretants of
this Book are the choosen ones. But there are among them some who wrong
their own souls, some who follow a middle course and still some are formost
in righteous deeds and have the highest Grace of their Lord. These are the
people who shall be joyfully placed in the Gardens of Eternity. But for those
who reject God, shall be in the fire of Hell for ever with no death will ever
come to them.
 Certainly, God knows all the hidden things in the heavens and the
earth; and has full knowledge of what is in hearts of every individuals. God
has appointed mankind as regents in earth, so who he rejects the authority of
their Lord, his disbelief will be his own responsibility. Say to them (O
Muhammad: have you seen those whom you call besides God? Or show what
they have created or any share in the making of heavens or given any heavenly
book! Nay, the disbelievers promise one another only to deceive. It is God
Who sustains and maintains the heavens and the earth; and function as per His
Decree. The unbelievers were longing for a warner to come to them. But when
he came, they reject him. This attitude of theirs has only increased their flight
from righteousness and their arrogance and plotting of evil will harm them
alone, without any doubt whatsoever. Are they looking for the manner as the
ancient unbelievers were dealt with? God’s Laws are fixed and His ways of
dealing with those who follow iniquity are the same in all ages. Do they not
travel through the earth, and see what was the end of those before them though
they were much superior to them? Nothing in the heavens or the earth can
frustrate your Lord’s decrees. He is All-Knowing, All-Powerful. If God were
to punish humans according to what they deserve, He would not leave a single
creature on the face of the earth: He gives them respite for a fixed period of
time. Certainly all will be dealt with according to their deeds, with justice
tempered with His Infinite Mercy. Indeed, God has in His sight all His
servants.
