In voice quality, GSM and CDMA voice coding methods and assessment of different factors, CDMA using FER, GSM use BER, the

Cash on hand:
MOS points commonly used evaluation methods including subjective and objective evaluation of MOS MOS sub-sub-evaluation.
2,021.50 Subjective MOS points and using ITU-T P.800 Recommendation P.830, respectively, by different people through the system to
process the original corpus and the corpus after the recession compared to the subjective feeling, come MOS points, and finally
the mean value. MOS and objective evaluation of the use of ITU-T P.862 PESQ method offered by the proposal, by special
equipment (such as Agilent's VQT tester) or software testing.

Table 1 shows the MOS-based sub-standard FER (CDMA) and BER (GSM) the correspondence between:

GSM voice quality actually divided into eight

2: 0.4%≤BER<0.8%
3: 0.8%≤BER<1.6%
4: 1.6%≤BER<3.2%
5: 3.2%≤BER<6.4%
6: 6.4%≤BER<12.8%
7: BER≥12.8%

Hi,
MoS or P.862.1 is a subjective voice quality measurement algorithm that was superseded by PESQ(which is P.862).
NewBie
PESQ. If you wish to see a relationship between MoS/PESQ with FER, it would not be a correct correlation unless one considers
Joined: Wed Sep 15, 2010 only the air interface, as MoS takes into consideration Air interface as well as deterioration at the back haul.

Also, FER indicates CRC failures, whereas MOS/PESQ is a 'full reference' algorithm that takes other air interface parameters
Cash on hand: into consideration.
430.00 I think a better comparison will be comparing TEMS Investigation SQI-MoS with PESQ/MoS, as the former is a versatile air
interface parameter modeled looking at PESQ algorithm.

Hope this helps in understanding both parameters better..
