1.2 – Verification of AC supply and grounding

To ensure EMC and safety, cabinet must be grounded. A special stud of diameter 8 mm is provided under cabinet,
use a cross-section cable greater or equal to 16 mm²

- Check connection of enclodure enclosure to ground (cable > 16 mm²) (1) 

1.4 – CT connections
CT must be installed in on the cable of the MV cubicle.

1/ Insert CT cables in cabinet and identify cables with corresponding SC150, 1 for CT connected to SC01, 2 for
CT connected to SC02, and so on.

2/ Connect CT cable (4 or 6 x 1.5 mm wires) to (4 ou 6 x 1.5 mm) to 6 pts connectror (1) delivered with cabinet.
Nota : Depending on number of CTs, we will connect 4 (3 phaes phases CT) or 6 wires (3 phases CT and 1 zero
sequence CT) (2)

Nota 1 : Control A and B can be done on cubicle without cubicle lockgout (possibility to have a lookout on CTs) . In
others cases cubicle lockout is mandatory.

1.5 – Control of MV voltage presence
SC150 can be connected to different types of voltage detectors.
For each type of detector, an adapter must be installed. (1)

1/ MV voltage type detection :

2/ Connecting voltage adapter :
- Adapter must be installed and connected to voltage sensor. (Normally adapter is installed in cubicle box).

3/ Control of voltage detector :


Control of voltage detector can be done with CAPTEST(*) accessory. Commented [EW-S3]: Consult us for availability
CAPTEST device allow secure testing of live voltage detector.

- sensors are correctly connected (no fuzzy contact).
- summation of three sensors voltage is correct
- sensors measurementss are consistant.

2.7 – LOCAL mode test using test plugs


Test plug is an accessory for sending simulated commands without cubicle lockout.

Set T300 in LOCAL mode. LOCAL indicator light in solid red on HU250 and all SC150.
Way 1 is at the back(wall side) and way 4 is at the front (door side).

- Connect a T300 test plug on way 1.


Check on SC01 (leftmost SC150) that switch position indicator stop flashing 
Send a open command (button OK+ON), check corresponding position indicator is green (vertical bar) 
Send a close command (button OK+OFF), check corresponding position indicator is red (slant bar) 

Repeat test for all installed SC150.

3/ PART III – CONNEXION to WEB SERVER
3.1 – Connection to WEB server
You do not need to change IP configuration on your PC to do this connection.
There is a DHCP server embedded in T300 for that automatically set your an NIC IP address once the physical
connection is made.

- Connect an Eethernet (straight or cross-wired) on PC and HU250 RJ45 connector (near green jumper).
- Start an internet browser (Google Chrome recommended)
- Type URL (https://192.168.0.254) in address bar and hit ‘Enter’. Pourquoi recommander Field Code Changed
- Choose your language in the pop up windows, then click on ‘OK’. Chrome (en plus c'est

3.2 – Verification of SC150 ordering


Before sending commands to cubicle, one must ascertain correct ordering of SC150.
SC01 should be in line with way 1, SC02 with way 2 and so on.
We will send simulated commands.

Cables from cubicle still remain disconnected.

- Set REMOTE mode on HU250


- Click on SC01, find ‘Simulation’ (1) zone.
- Click on ‘Close switch’ in ‘Simulation’ then ‘send command ‘ in pop up window.
- Check on SC01 that indicator light in solid red. (leftmost SC150) - Conform….
Nota : The indicator stay lighted for 30 seconds

- Click on ‘Open switch’ in ‘Simulation’ then ‘send command ‘ in pop up window.


- Check on SC01 that indicator light in solid green. (leftmost SC150) -Conform….

Repeat test on all installed SC150.

Once SC150 are correctly ordered, we can test switch command control order (realactual).
Connect cubicle cables to cabinet.

Display ‘Substation’ page on web server (insure T300 is in REMOTE mode).

- Click on SC01 part and check if display is real actual state (1)
- Click on ‘Close switch’ (real) then ‘Send command’ in popup.
Check if real switch is closing opening and close position on SC01 front panel - Conform…..

Interpretation of result for a threshold I0 of 90A :

Fault detected at 45A = One CT is incorrectly connected.
Fault at 90A = Two CTs incorrectly connected, or one CT is upside down.

Procedure to be adapted for equipment used.
In example equipment used can deliver current of 350A.

IMAX threshold set to 500A

- Insert injection cable multiple several time in 2 out of 3 CTs, and in opposite direction. (5)
Nota : Number of turn depends on available power of test set. In the example, there are 2 turn in 2 of CTs, in
oposite direction..
- Increase injected current to 30A. (60A for CTs with 2 turns)
- SC150 must not detect fault.
- Display ‘Monitoring/Substation’ page in web server for tested SC150.
- Check current value (60A) displayed for all phases. (6) Conform Yes… No….

- Increase injected current 250A. (500A for CTs with 2 turns)


- When value is above threshold FPI indicator on SC150 is lighted Conform Yes… No….
