Start Sign in Battery life

Sign in
Battery life After you power on, just follow the screen prompts to get
started.
If you use Gmail™, you already have a Google™ account – if
not, you can create an account during setup. Signing in to
your Google account lets you access, sync and back up your
stuff. See your Google apps, contacts, calendar, photos and
more.
Your phone processes tons of information. Depending on
what you use, that can take a lot of power.
When your phone is stationary, not charging or not in use
for a period of time, unnecessary background processes are
shut down to optimise battery life.
To see what’s using up battery power, swipe up >
Settings > Battery.

Tips and tricks To help improve battery life, swipe up > Settings >
Battery > Battery saver, and turn it on.

To delete all the information (music, photos and files) from
your microSD card and re-format the card, swipe up >
Settings > Storage, tap the microSD card, then tap Menu >
Storage settings > Format.
Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
A VPN lets you access files on a secured network (such
as an office network with a firewall). Contact the network
administrator to ask for VPN settings and any additional
apps or other requirements.
To enter VPN settings, swipe up > Settings >
More > VPN. Tap to add a new VPN. Choose the type
of VPN and enter settings from the network administrator.
The network is stored in the VPN list so you can select it
whenever you need to connect.

Aeroplane mode — useful when flying. Swipe the status bar down with two

power back on, if permitted by your airline. Other wireless
voice and data services (such as calls and text messages)
remain off in aeroplane mode. Emergency calls to your
