Sir:

I am a graduating student of MSU-IIT under the AB-History program. My GPA is 1.74464, but
unfortunately, I am disqualified on the list of honor students because according to Art. 429 of Graduation
with Honor, “Students who are candidates for graduation with honors must have taken during each term
not less than 15 units.” With this, I am writing this letter to ask your consideration regarding my situation.

It was during the Second Semester of the A.Y. 2013-2014 that I only carry 14 units load. Due to financial
constraint, my parents decided that my two older siblings will continue their studies. I agreed to differ mine
the following semester. My father was able to secure a loan for my tuition, this was the reason why I
enrolled late on the last week of enrollment. I was given a 20 units load by my adviser, Prof. Jamelyn B.
Palattao. Sad to say, one of the subjects (ENG 2N) which I am supposed to take up was dissolved. I tried
to enroll in another section but all are already full. Unfortunately, the CWTS-2 subject is not included in
the regular load requirement so, I only carry a 14 unit load within that semester. It is in this manner that I
am appealing to your office that my case will be considered.

Hoping that this request will merit a favorable action.

Thank you very much and more power!

Respectfully yours,

KRIS ELLEN L. TAUCAN
