The IEEE Computer Society has its origins in the 1946
formation of the American Institute of Electrical Engineers
(AIEE) Subcommittee on Large-Scale Computer Devices

(IRE) formed its professional group in electronic
equipment (PGEC). The principal volunteer officers of
both groups were designated chairs.

given in which all the knowledge obtained during the two

not only based on research also seeks to help students
and professionals to make their profession even better
