Seed of Preservation

▪ To preserve means to “maintain (something) in its original or existing state.”

2Ti .4:18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his
heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen
▪ A seed is an offering or a sacrifice.
2Co 9:10 Now he that ministereth seed to the sower both minister bread for your food, and
multiply your seed sown, and increase the fruits of your righteousness;)

So, the SEED of PRESERVATION is that offering or sacrifice you laid down for God which speaks
for you in the day of calamity

Scriptural examples of those who gave seed of preservation:

a) Noah:
Then Noah built an altar to the LORD, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and
offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a soothing aroma. Then the LORD said
in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's
heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done. "While the
earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, Cold and heat, Winter and summer, And day and night Shall
not cease." (Gen 8:20-22)

Noah raised an altar for God and God gave 2 promises

1. To NEVER CURSE THE GROUND AGAIN for Man’s Sake
2. To NEVER destroy every living thing with flood again.
So, the EARTH was preserved because of one man’s SEED of preservation.
b) The Children of Israel in the Wilderness:
Every one that passeth among them that are numbered, from twenty years old and above, shall
give an offering unto the LORD. The rich shall not give more, and the poor shall not give less than
half a shekel, when they give an offering unto the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls.
And thou shalt take the atonement money of the children of Israel, and shalt appoint it for the
service of the tabernacle of the congregation; that it may be a memorial unto the children of
Israel before the LORD, to make an atonement for your souls. (Exo 30:14-16)
God called it the “atonement money” – meaning it was meant to provide “atonement – or
covering” for their soul.

c) King David
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer
burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So, David bought the
threshing floor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And David built there an altar unto the LORD,
and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So, the LORD was intreated for the land, and the
plague was stayed from Israel. (2Sa 24:24-25)

King David was able to stop a NATIONAL DISASTER because he raised a costly sacrifice to God. So
his seed preserved his kingdom.
d) Saints
Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice. And
the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah. (Psa. 50:5-6)

The LORD hear thee in the day of trouble; the name of the God of Jacob defend thee; Send thee
help from the sanctuary, and strengthen thee out of Zion; Remember all thy offerings, and accept
thy burnt sacrifice; Selah. Grant thee according to thine own heart, and fulfil all thy counsel.
(Psa 20:1-4)

e) Cornelius
He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and
saying unto him, Cornelius. And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord?
And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up for a memorial before God.
(Act 10:3-4)
The Angelic visitation to Cornelius was because of HIS PRAYERS AND HIS ALMS (OFFERINGS) which
had become a MEMORIAL (ALTAR) before God.
How to give your SEED OF PRESERVATION.
a) As God lays in your heart:
Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God
loveth a cheerful giver. (2Co 9:7)

b) With Joy and Gladness of heart

God loves a CHEERFUL GIVER meaning you give with joy and gladness of heart.

But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his
countenance fell. And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth? and why is thy countenance
fallen? If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the
door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him. (Gen 4:5-7)
