ABSTRACT
The juicer uses a screw press in order to extract juice. A screw press is provided with a gradually
increasing diameter inner shaft (tapered) and as it goes toward the outlet a choke is placed that opens at a certain
pressure for greater extracting efficiency.

TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention relates in general to agricultural post-harvest implements used for extracting
purposes, but more particularly to an improved screw press design that can effectively extract juices.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

The object of the present invention is to gain an extractor which overcomes the difficulties associated
with the amount of materials used for compression and to reduce the wearing of the screw press. This problem
is resolved by gradually increasing the inner shaft and placing a choke that opens at a certain pressure making
the juicer more compact and improving the drive efficiency.
In order to accomplish the object, the juice extractor or a juicer of the present invention includes a screw
press in which the inserted material is subjected to increasing pressure due to the design of the screw press. It
will be conveyed and at that period is squeezed from the screen allowing the juice to flow outside the screw
housing. In reaching the end of the screw press the cake will be pushed to the outlet allowing the cake to be
discharge. In order to have a drier cake, a choke composed of a spring is placed in the outlet that opens in
response to a given pressure.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
With reference to the accompanying drawings, there is shown a screw press 2 with gradually increasing
diameter inner shaft as it goes toward the choke 4 for better compression.
As shown in Fig. 1, the screw press of the juice extractor is connected to the motor 5 by means of a belt.
The material is fed into the feeder portions of the screw through an inlet hopper 1, attached to the frame and is
placed atop the press. The inserted material will go into the screen chamber 3 that acts as a sieve while being
conveyed by the screw press 2 where extraction occurs. At the end of the screw press the cake will pass through
the choke 4 that pushes the cake inward for greater extraction. Expelled liquid drains through screen to a
collection pan.
There are two things to consider in the present invention. First is the design of the screw press and
second is the torque. The present invention has a tapered shaft in order to have a greater pressure as the cake
moves toward the choke and the juice flows downward to the screen chamber. The choke helps in extracting the
cake that gives enough pressure for extracting and opens at a certain pressure to prevent bursting.
