The way in which we inform about the news both nationally and internationally, has

changed a lot in these times, which cause great impact on the community.

Firstly, years ago the only way to inform about news was through television, radio

and newspaper, which could cause that the information only was seen in one way,

making us think that there was only one version of the story. Now, you can be

informed thanks to the social networks, a tool that can benefit or affect us because

we can find out what kind of things the other medias are hiding, but also, it’s a con

since many people could manipulate the information and misinforming the people,

which is an issue that it’s present in websites like “PlayGround”, “Cultura

Colectiva”, etc. But in general, I think that not because a article or a new is highly

influenced by bias of the author or the people, means that it’s real, and that’s why

we have to investigate in more websites to compare, contrast and get the

conclusion of what is trustable or not.

Secondly, the importance of keep up with news in general, it’s so important

because in this way we can inform ourselves of what is happening around us. Also,

it often affects our lives, and it can be used as a social tool too. Also, it’s important

because by knowing what are the current events we can have an opinion

supporting or opposing of an event, perhaps, it’s relevant because we can know

how does the society involve us in the current events. It helps people also to make

connections, also is often used as discussion in classes, and finally it helps to

make relationships
Finally, being well informed it’s vital because timely information allows us to make

good decisions and take advantages of the things. We should watch the news to

stay informed, know if the news is affecting us, and be prepared to use the

information you learn from it in a social context.
