PHOTO CONTEST MECHANICS

PLAYBOY Philippines’ first PHOTO EROTICA Photo Contest begins January 17, 2018, and
ends February 28, 2018, at 5:00 PM Philippine Time. By submitting an entry, each contestant
agrees to the rules of the contest and states that he or she is 18 years old or older.

WHO MAY ENTER

Professional and amateur photographers are both qualified to submit. Individuals affiliated with
Playboy Philippines, including employees, interns, associates and their immediate families are
not eligible to enter. Playboy will determine winners’ eligibility in its sole discretion.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
• We accept digital submissions only via socialmedia@playboy-philippines.com
• Only 1 entry will be accepted per entrant.
• Please include a short biography and contact details in your submission.
• Your Subject should include the term “PHOTO CONTEST SUBMISSION” and your name
(example: Photo Contest Submission_Juan dela Cruz).
• All submissions should be forwarded as attachments complete with title, description,
complete name of model and model release.
• Entries should be original, unpublished pieces.
• Should your work be published in a collection at some later date, it will be in Playboy’s
sole discretion.
• Photos must be in full size (high resolution), unbranded originals (no watermark) and
professionally retouched/edited.
• Submitted as JPEG or TIFF files with the sRGB Colourspace and should not exceed 8 MB
in file size.
• You retain your rights to your photograph; however, by entering the contest, you grant
the PLAYBOY Philippines (and those authorized by Playboy) a royalty-free, world-wide,
perpetual, non-exclusive license to publicly display, distribute, reproduce and create
derivative works of the entries, in whole or in part, in any media now existing or later
developed, for any PLAYBOY purpose, including, but not limited to, advertising and
promotion of the magazine and its website, exhibition, and commercial products,
including but not limited to PLAYBOY Philippines publications. Any photograph
reproduced will include a photographer credit as feasible. PLAYBOY Philippines will not
be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in
connection with such uses.

JUDGING

Photo entries will be judged based on creativity, quality, originality, and overall impact.

PLAYBOY Philippines will select 10 finalists, and a winner. The finalists will be notified of their
status by the last week of March 2018 and will appear on our website sometime around the first week
of March 2018. At that time, the public can vote on our website for the 30 % of the total percentage.
The PHOTO EROTICA contest winner will be revealed online in April 2018.

PLAYBOY will notify the winner via the contact information provided at the time of entry;
PLAYBOY may disqualify anyone who fails to respond to the notification within five business
days. Please do not contact us about the status of entries or judging.

PRIZES

FINALISTS
• The 10 finalists will receive an invitation to PLAYBOY Philippines’ exclusive 10th
Year Anniversary Party.
• The 10 finalists will also receive a certificate and other PLAYBOY merchandise.
• An online gallery showcasing the artworks will be featured on the website and other
PLAYBOY social media platforms.

CONTEST WINNER
• The Winner will receive a trophy, certificate and an invitation to PLAYBOY
Philippines’ exclusive 10th Year Anniversary Party.
• The Winner will also receive a limited edition PLAYBOY gift box.
• The winning photo will be included in the PLAYBOY Philippines’ 10th Year
Anniversary Issue both online and in print as the Playground section cover.
• Opportunity to shoot for Playboy.

RELEASES
If the photograph contains any material or elements that are not owned by the entrant and/or which are
subject to the rights of third parties, and/or if any persons appear in the photograph, the entrant is
responsible for obtaining, prior to submission of the photograph, any and all releases and consents
necessary to permit the exhibition and use of the photograph in the manner set forth in these Official Rules
without additional compensation. Any person appearing in any photograph should be over the age of
majority in their state/province/territory of residence.

CONDITIONS
PLAYBOY reserves the right to cancel the contest or modify these rules at its discretion. In the event of a
dispute regarding the winners, PLAYBOY reserves the right to award or not award the prizes in its sole
discretion. PLAYBOY reserves the right to disqualify any entrant whose entry or conduct appears in any way
to: tamper with the competition; violate these rules or other applicable law or regulation; infringe on the
rights of third parties; or act in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Decisions of PLAYBOY are final
and binding.
