UNIT III PROJECTION OF SOLIDS

1) Draw the projections of a hexagonal prism of base side 20mm and axis length 50mm when its rests on the ground on
one of the edges of the base and the axis inclined at 35 0 to the ground and parallel to the VP. Use change of position
method (JAN 2013

2) A hexagonal prism side of base 25mm and axis 60mm long lies with one of its rectangular faces on the HP, such that the
axis is inclined at 450 to the VP .Draw the projections.. use change of position method (JAN 2013)
3) A hexagonal pyramid of base edge 40mm and altitude 80mm rests on one of its base edges on the HP with its axis
inclined at 300 to the HP and parallel to the HP and parallel to the VP.Draw its top and front views using change of
position method ( JAN 2014)
4) A square prism of base side 30mm and axis 70mm rests on HP on one of its longer edges with the rectangular faces
equally inclined to HP. The axis is inclined at 30o to VP. Draw the top and front views of the prism.
5) Draw the projections of a pentagonal prymid of base side 30 mm and altitude 60 mm when it rest on the ground
On one of its base edges with the axis inclined at 30o to the ground and parallel to VP (use change of reference line method).

6) Draw the projections of a right circular cone of base diameter 60mm and altitude 80 mm lying on HP with one of its
generaters the axis is parallel to VP. (JAN 2014)

7) A pentagonal prism, side of 25 mm and axis 50 mm long rest with one of its shorter edges on HP. Such that the base
containing the edge makes an angle of 30o to HP and it’s axis is parallel to VP. Draw it’s projections. (JAN 2013)

8) A square pyramid of base side 30 mm and height 50 mm rests on the ground one of it’s base edges such that it’s axis is
inclined at 45o to the ground and parallel to VP. Draw its projections. (JAN 2013)
