1 FOREWORD

1.1 Ansaldo Caldaie Boilers (ACB) is presently executing a 1 x 320 TPH Utility Boiler package for
OPG POWER GENERATION PVT LTD at Ennore, India.
ACB scope includes the following packages,
 Utility Boiler Package
1.2 The present documents contain the technical prescriptions and describe the activities
to be carried out for the manufacture, assembly & supply of Silencer supports
(Non pressure part) for OPG POWER GENERATION.
 The Silencer supports fabrication consists of
 Box Channels
 Gusset plates
 Columns
 The Quantities indicated are for One (1) Boiler

2.0 SCOPE OF WORK


The activities required to the Supplier are the following:
 Manufacturing of Silencer supports as per ANSALDO shop drawings.
 Inspection and testing of the components as per ANSALDO approved QCP.
 Painting, preservation, unloading, packing and shipping .

3.0 CODES AND STANDARDS

The manufacturing shall be done as per ANSALDO drawing . All elements shall be hard stamped with DU
number identified in the ANSALDO drawing and this mark shall be used when it’s necessary refer to it.
ANSALDO CALDAIE quality control plan as enclosed with this
document.

4.0 TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION


4.1 Supply Description

4.1.1Purchaser shall supply raw material for Structure will be a free issue (i.e., Channels, beams, plates
etc.) and the Manufacturer shall make necessary holes drilling, machining, welding, profile cutting etc as
per ANSALDO shop drawing.
4.1.2The manufacturer as supplied components shall be strictly in accordance with this specification,
approved drawings, QCP, relevant codes and Good engineering practices. Any deviation or clarification
shall be specifically listed and Purchaser’s acceptance obtained. In the absence of any such list, it will be
considered that the scope of work shall be in full compliance with all the requirements stated in this
document and relevant attachments.
4.1.3Manufacturer shall be responsible for the quality and satisfactory workmanship of the components
manufactured and supplied, which shall fully comply with the requirement of the Contract / Drawings /
Specifications / QCP.
4.1.4All welding shall be done with qualified welders. These procedures and supporting records must be
made available for Purchaser review and acceptance before starting the job.

5.0 SUPPLIER DOCUMENTATION

5.1 Supplier will produce the Fabrication document as per approved quality control plan.
5.2 The packing and shipping documents as per purchase order.

6.0 PAINTING

The painting shall be as per ANSALDO Painting specification (Refer Annexure -1 )

7.0 PACKING AND DESPATCH

7.1. All materials shall be adequately marked before the despatch indicating D.U number

7.2. Packing crates/bundles number, drawing number, part number and name of component.

7.3. In any case the supplier will be responsible for proper and good packing of materials and parts.
Equipment shall be wrapped in polythene sheets before being placed in crates/cases to prevent damage
to finish.

7.4. Crates / cases shall have skid bottom for handling.

7.5. Special notations such as ‘Fragile’, ‘This side up’, ‘Centre of gravity’, ‘Weight’, ‘Owner’s particulars’, ‘PO
Nos.’ etc. shall be clearly marked on the package together with other details as per purchaser order.

7.6. The equipment may be stored outdoors for long periods before installation. The packing shall be
completely suitable for outdoor storage in areas with heavy rains/high ambient temperature, unless
otherwise agreed.

8.0 TIME SCHEDULE

The supply shall be delivered according the requirements of the purchaser order .
