1. Give 5 examples of control systems and describe its operation. Identify the
input and output in each system. Write your answer on the table below. You

The proximity sensors in the front placed a few meters from the bridge will
detect if a ship is passing by and will pass through the bridge. If a ship is detected, the
roads from both sides of the bridge will be alarmed about the ship and will indicate a
stop sign for those who are about to enter the bridge. Once the bridge is cleared, the
gates will be close automatically and the bridge will now move enabling the ship to pass
through. The Proximity sensors at the other end will detect if the ship have passed
through bridge. The image detector at the front will detect if there are still ships nearby
that have yet to pass through the proximity sensors at the front. If there are still ships
left to pass through, the bridge will stay in its position until the image sensor no longer
detects ships nearby.
