Introduction

Leicester City Football Club, sometimes known as the Foxes, is an English professional
football club based at the King Power Stadium in Leicester. It was formed in 1884 by a group
of old boys of Wyggeston School as "Leicester Fosse". The club officially joined the Football
Association in 1890. At the moment of this report, The team plays in the Premier League and
is the current champions of the league. Leicester City F.C was founded in 1884 as Leicester
Fosse F.C., playing on a field near Fosse Road. In 2002 they moved to the nearby Walkers
stadium, which was later renamed the King Power Stadium after a change of ownership in
2011.

The teams badge consists of a fox and the colours blue and white. The fox was incorporated
into the badge in 1948. Leicestershire is known for foxes and fox hunting and thus the origin
of the nickname "The Foxes". The official mascot of the team is known as "Filbert Fox"
which is often seen during matches. The official moto of the cub is 'Foxes Never Quit'. The
team’s main stadium is the King Power stadium (known before as the Walker stadium) and
can accommodate up to 42000 people. Leicester City's kit is manufactured by the
company Puma since 2012

Some of the clubs most prominent and major contenders include Nottingham Forest, Derby
County and Coventry City. Its number one rival could be said as Nottingham Forest due to a
record breaking 12–0 loss against the team causing the team (Leicester City) to be relegated
from the first division, the highest level of English football. The games between the clubs
Leicester City and Derby County which is located 21 miles apart has come to be known as
M69 derby after the motorway connecting the two cities.

The current manager of the team is Claudio Ranieri, a former Italian born football player
whom we will discuss further later in this assignment report. The club is currently owned by
The King Power International Group, Thailand's leading travel retail group, based in
Bangkok. The chairman of the team is Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha who is also the chairman of
the King Power International Group.

Leicester City F.C is made up of 24 players which includes three keepers, seven defenders,
eleven midfielders and three strikers. Below is the list of players currently signed in at
