TIDA-00845: Two-port automotive USB 2.0 hub with short-to-battery protection reference design
Description Features
TIDA-00845 is comprised of the TUSB4020BI-Q1, a two-port USB 2.0 hub, with • Fully functional USB hub with built-In short-to-battery test simulator on downstream port 1
short-to-battery (STB) and short-circuit protection on both downstream ports • Supports USB 2.0 high-speed data rates
provided by the TPD3S714-Q1. Downstream port 1 (DP1) includes a STB tester for • Short-to-battery protection (up to 18 V) on VBUS_CON, VD+, VD-
applying 18V DC, using two TPD3S714-Q1s to protect both the hub and a periph- • Short-to-ground protection on VBUS_CON for downstream port 2
eral, for easily demonstrating pre-test and post-test functionality. Downstream port • Over-current protection current limit: 550 mA (min)
2 (DP2) represents a best practice design. • IEC 61000-4-2 (level 4) system level ESD protection at VBUS_CON, VD+, VD-
TIDA-00573: Automotive 4-channel class D amplifier reference design for head unit
Description Features
This design provides a class D based amplifier solution that allows it to be evaluated • Able to withstand load-dump conditions
in the form factor of a typical class AB amplifier. The design is optimized to mitigate • Size/space optimized design
thermals associated with audio amplifiers and to minimize switching noises associated • CISPR-25 tested EMI
with class D amplifiers. This design is comprised of two parts. The first highlights the • Able to withstand start/stop operation down to 5.6 V
audio amplifier module while the second highlights the circuitry needed to incorporate
it into a base board. The pair of boards allows stand-alone performance testing of the
design.
