Description:
A system designed to collate data across various versions from the various sources in order to
provide users a set of reports using Engagements data. These reports are built from specific cubes. EDM
suite of applications has following components-Admin Tool- This is used to process engagements into
data warehouse Set of reports-Efficiency Measure reports, metrics and information reports.
Cubes:-It’s a representation of data that is required on the report in a specific format to run the report
efficiently. EDM report UI-This is the user interface to access the set of reports mentioned.
There are three processes
ETL PROCESS 1: the first ETL process extracts the engagement data from the engagement and stores
the same into an incriminatory database called a data mart. Data marts are maintained for various
versions of eAudit Engagements.
ETL PROCESS 2: the second ETL process moves the data from the data mart to the data ware house
either historical or active data.
ETL PROCESS 3: The Third ETL process moves the data stage in the data warehouses to the star format
(table Fact_ and DIM_) within the same data warehouse DB’s.
Cube processing: the star format data is loaded in to the cubes database for the creating reports.
