General objetive
Create a strong community, capable of exporting, harvesting, providing public
services to its own people, with a well-managed government using the
resources we can provide and continue the investment with the earnings made
from the project’s progression. Also, transform a marginal town into a well-
integrated community in its county by helping with their infrastructure, education
and healthcare.

6. Specific objective
Create jobs in their community, create a self-sufficient environment where they
can work their own land, build and upgrade their own community and increase
their life quality overall. (with supervision, of course).

7. Development of the project

The project will consist of three phases.
 Crops and harvesting (6 months to a year)
 Sells, distribution and investment. (During the first harvest and
permanently later on)
 Self-improvement
Phase 1: Crops and harvesting. This phase will have a 6 month to a year life
span and be all about working and improving the land for the main source of
income for the community in the future (by our plan). Land and agricultural tools
will be donated to the community by associates, the community already has the
knowledge of how to plant and harvest corps; so they will start right away. Here
is important to mention, that this project relies heavily on community support
and cooperation. They will be paid by us to encourage work (let’s be realistic)
until they are ready to administrate and produce by themselves in the final
phases. After the planting sub-phase is over, and the crops are growing; the
community will start to get instructions on correct harvesting, how to storage
and the logistics of distribution on nearby towns and possibly greater urban
centers like small markets with our help. The storage and transport units will be
provided by us and build during the duration of the first six months. This phase
will partially end during the first harvest but the knowledge learned from this will
remain during the whole project, even after we are gone.
Phase 2: Sell, distribution and investment. After the first harvest, phase two
comes into place. Using the provided knowledge from phase one in sells and
distribution the financial progress of Mitontic will truly start. Here we will help by
providing transport, connections and general public support by going into social
networking and free advertisement. Such as “Isolated and poor community
selling all natural corn for self-support”, it can be considered pity marketing, but
it is what works nowadays and this will help Mitontic greatly. The distribution
part will have to be semi-improvised since the market and connections can
change, for the better or for the worse. Now, the investment part, it´s in our
primary objectives to get invested in so the project can continue
after our departure. This will ensure the consistent flow of capital and product in
the community, allowing it to grow and attract more prepared people to support
economically, contributing to a healthy and self-improving community. This
phase will continue until the second harvest, were we expect to have more
capital for the community´s infrastructure improvement.
Phase 3: Self-improvement. After the second harvest, the community should
be ready for our real mission: improve the quality of life in Mitontic. This will
start the end of our physical presence in the development of the community.
Using the resources obtained through their hard work and the new investments,
the community will work together to improve themselves, they will provide
themselves with basic services, road and housing improvement; all of this with
supervision, tutoring and external help from us and dedicated companies for
each aspect. It may go slow, but slow and steady income for the town will now
provide real change. This phase never really ends, because it consists on
teaching them how to be self-sufficient and provide their community with what
they need without our help. after being evaluated that our help is not essential
anymore; we will start the leaving process. This does not mean that we will
never help again, after we have completely left, constant check-outs will occur
in different time cycles to verify that the resources are being used
properly. Eventual governmental involvement will occur, cooperation on our
side and their side will be necessary for the project’s success.

8. Allies
The “Fundación León XIII” is a foundation that has a lot of presence in Chiapas; it
helps at least 50 rural communities.
The foundation makes projects that consist of the implementation of small
backyard farms and family gardens.
The main goal is making a partnership
Our intention with this foundation is for them to buy and donate us the land so we
can distribute the land in the community of Mitontic.
The Ford Foundation seeks to support organizations, thinkers and innovative
leaders to help reduce poverty as well as the promotion of democratic values and
free expression. The Ford Foundation is going to donate us money, so we can
carry out our social project, since this foundation is focused in sustainable
development they agreed to make us significant donations.
The way we are going to raise money is through government subsidies, this is
through provide all the basic tools that may be needed for growing the crops and
cultivating the land.
The Global Innovation Fund invests in social innovations that aim to improve the
lives and opportunities of millions of people in the developing world.
The Global Innovation Fund is going to give us money for sustaining our social
labor in the best way we can.

9. Indicators
The first year of the project we are going to stay in the community to help them
cultivate and provide them all the tools that are essential for them to grow the
crops.
We are going to be checking the quality of the products; this is because the crops
need to be good for selling them.
After the first year the community is supposed to have raised enough money for
them to grow the land without our help and our donations. The way we are going to
be checking that they are being able to produce, and sell is that we are going to go
once every 4 months in the second year and in the third year we are going to go
once every 6 months.

b) Financing structure: contribution by source of resources: One of the most
important financing structures in our project is the secretary of agriculture,
livestock, rural development, fisheries and food (SAGARPA), which aims to provide
opportunities and tools so that producers have the alternative of becoming rural
entrepreneurs. According to what they have promised to do, SAGARPA would
contribute with: the sustainable and optimal use of water, apply fertilizers, and
improved seeds. The municipal government would contribute with the lands as well
as "León XIII Foundation" which is a foundation that helps more than 50
communities in Chiapas.

C)
d) Quotations and permits: In the state of Chiapas it is not necessary to process
a permit to plant or cultivate. Before starting the project, the municipal government
will be noticed about growing corn and how they will benefit so that we are allowed
to plant and harvest freely.
