Kian Mhar I. Tamondo is a grade 3 pupils under Mr. Melvin Ngayaan. He lives at
Toyong, Pico, La Trinidad, Benguet. He is the son of Mr. Marcelo Tamondo and Mrs.
Maricel Tamondo. He is 8 years old and second among the 6 children of Mr. And Mrs.
Tamondo.

Kian Mhar is a good reader, he reads the words except greeted, weighing,
Hurrah, and exclaimed on the word recognition sheet, after reading the words we asked
him if he is familiar to the word so one by one he tells the meaning so the list og the
words he doesn’t know are weight, card, scale, weighing, grew, centimeter, and
exclaimed. After the word recognition we move to the comprehension he fails again to
read the word greeted, tape, weighing, weight, while, exclaimed, Hurrah, and heavier.
The last thing we did was to asked him if he understands the passage he read and he
said “yes” but when we asked the question to him he got only few correct answer and
that is the question 1, 2, and 5 so the word recognition is independent with the
percentage of 80% while in the word comprehension is frustration with the percentage
of 38% so we concluded that he needs more to focus on the word comprehension.

In the attitude of the child he doesn’t want to read without companion, the first
time we met him he almost cry and reapetedly asking the question “apay ngay nga siak
lang?”, so we convinced him that he has many companion at the student center so he
goes with us but because they have only short timr span after we give him the raeding
materials and after he reads all he run and play with his classmates, when we decided
to take him to his father he run and he did not let us to take him.
