DEHYDRATED SKIN

Basic Steps
Extensive Day Routine (religiously, every day. Only when you’re tired, you
can refer to “Basic Day Routine”):
Cleanser – Toner – Serum – Essence – Eye Cream - Moisturizer – Lip Balm
(with SPF) – Sunscreen
Basic Day Routine (If you are too tired):
Cleanser – Toner – Moisturizer - Sunscreen

Basic Steps
Extensive Night (religiously, every night. Only when you’re tired, you can
refer to “Basic Night Routine”):
Oil Cleanser (Double cleanse) - Cleanser – Toner – Serum – Essence – Eye
Cream – Moisturizer / Sleeping Mask (Can alternate with moisturizer) – Lip
Balm
Basic Night (if you are too tired):
Cleanser – Toner – Moisturizer

Once/Twice a week extensive care


: Physical Exfoliator (once or twice per week)
: Chemical Exfoliator (AHA/BHA during the night, once or twice per week)
: Sheet Mask (twice per week)
Since you have a dehydrated skin, focus on your cleanser, toner, and
moisturizer to provide the hydration + sun screen for the AM routine. If you
want to remove flaws for example, dark spot, pimples, black heads/white
heads, uneven skin tone or whatever flaws that you have, leave that to your

Taking Care of Dehydrated Skin:


AVOID!
- Alcohol (SD Alcohol 40, Denatured Alcohol, Ethanol and Isopropyl Alcohol but
these can be good untuk acne), parfum, fragrance, sulfate (Sodium or
Ammonium Lauryl Sulfate as these are drying af)
- Over exfoliation (jangan pakai AHA or BHA hari-hari)
- Too many caffeinated drinks
- Terdedah kepada matahari tanpa perlindungan dari
UVA/UVB (important)
- Kurang minum air kosong

SAY YES TO THESE!


When treating dehydrated skin, your goal is to retain moisture,
creating a glowy, healthy looking skin. You want to deliver hydration
and seal it in. So,
- Look for ingredients yang ada Glycerine, Hyaluronic Acid, or
Glycolic acid (Glycolic is AHA) (either one)
- Include Serum and Essence in
your skin care routine that target
different problem. Boleh guna
diff serum. Maybe in the
morning, serum A, malam pulak
serum B.
- Vitamin C is good and
Niacinamide is excellent but they
cannot be used together
serentak as they cancel each
other’s property.
- AHA is good untuk seminggu
sekali. Removes white heads,
bagi kulit glowing serta
kurangkan texture kulit.
- MINUM AIR KOSONG BANYAK2
(2-3 liter sehari)

P/S: I might be more inclined towards
Asian skincare because Asian skin care
tends to focus more on hydrating and
is all about that glow from within so

Sunscreen ni basically make sure SPF50, PA dia at least +++ then okay
lah. Also pls pakai religiously every day. Nak gi café ke GUC ke jemur
kain ke mohon pakai.
3. Serum
You got yours already
but have you heard of
the brand The
Ordinary? Freaking
interesting. Go google
about them and read
their reviews. They also
have exfoliants macam
AHA and BHA (which I
think would be nice if you have them in your skincare routine)

4. Essence
Missha, IOPE, Cosrx, Secret Key,
Mizon (all these brands ada
essence) Good for giving your
skin that extra glow, hydration,
pudarkan dark spot. I suggest
you untuk add essence in your
routine.
5. Sheet Masks
- SEP Sheet Masks
- Naruko (cult favourite)

Sheet masks you can use


every day but I suggest
guna seminggu dua-tiga
kali. Sheet mask is fun, each
mask target different skin
problem sambil add
moisture and hydration.
Not to mention its relaxing
af.

Okay I’m done here. Hahaha. Jangan mengata. Disclaimer! Some of


the stuff here are stuff that I have tried and somehow works for my
skin. Some I read and take from blogs/ websites. Each skin is
different so what works for me might not for you and vice versa. I
think your routine is fine already. It’s all about experimenting. My
skin right now have these white spots which I don’t know what and
is stressing me out so my skin is not flawless and I’m NO EXPERT. BYE
