Meet
Ramen
The man who has
dedicated
41-years of
loyal service
to Motibhai Group
It was Monday, August 29 in 1977 when a young 18-year-old
man entered the doors of Motibhai Group office in Ba to sign-up PICTORIAL
for his first and only job in his entire working career.
Starting as a factory hand in the tea factory, 58-year-old Ramen
still has vivid memories of his first day at work.
“This year I will be completing my 41-years of service with the
company,” the Rarawai, Ba native told Inbox.
Having proved to be a loyal worker, Ramen was given the im-
portant task of driving for the directors. Not long after, he was pro-
moted as customs clearance clerk – a job which he dearly holds on
to until today.
“I have to collect bills and charges, then travel to the ports to
clear goods - customs clearance is now becoming a very challeng-
ing activity daily,” Ramen added.
When asked how he managed to work for Motibhai Group for
so long, the father of three said it was very important to understand
the importance of time.
“One has to realise the importance of being on time. I have al-
ways believed in that for my duties.
“Another very important thing is to treat everyone with equal
respect. One should never be rude to other colleagues as everyone
deserves to be respected at the workplace.
“My message to everyone is to be loyal, polite and dedicated to
your work. Remember, hard work pays off as it has always been
said that hard work is the key to success and everyone should love
whatever work they do to be successful in life.
“I am really proud to work for Motibhai Group and wish the
company keeps on prospering in years to come as they have been Picture of the month.... Suva office staff members engage in
