Some hydrocarbons are absorbed by uPVC and cause swelling and loss of strength. Properties are largely restored when the hydrocarbons are allowed to evaporate from the pipes. uPVC are virtually unaffected by water and absorbs only 0.1% to 0.4% by weight in 4 48 hours immersion test. UPVC pipes are not recommended for use with organic esters, ketones, chlorinated solvents aromatic hydrocarbons, reagents, and low molecular weight alcohols. Mechanical properties of PVC are temperature dependent. Nominal working pressures are determined at 20°C. For lower operating temperatures, the 20°C ratings are used, even though properties such as tensile strength are greater. As the temperature decreases, it is advisable to take additional care to avoid impact damage as the impact strength decreases with temperature zero degree. ‘The term ‘ de-rating factor’ has incorporated to give the solution for designing process for the different working temperatures. For eg; in the case of BSEN 1452 standard the de-rating factor (fT) for the service temperature up to 45°C can be determine from the graph (gp 02) Ifwe are considering the PN 12.5 pipe to work in the 40°c, the de-rating factor at 40% is 0.71 , so that the maximum allowable operating pressure at 40°e in the frequent use is 0.71%12.5 bar =8.88 bar , here the service period also play the vital role in the design criteria. For the some application which need additional derating factor for eg; more safety than the overall service (design ) coefficient of 2 or 2.5 anadditional factor fA.can be chosen at the design stage The allowable working pressure on the continuous use can be determined from the formula (PFA)=fT™ fA [PN] Where PFA Is the allowable operating pressure, fT is the derating factor for the service temperature between 25% to 45°c, fAis the derating factor related to the application, [ PN] is the nominal pressure ‘Derating chart for the upve pipes in the general application. The adjustment can be do in one direction by means of adjusting the length in the axial direetion .this can be managed by using U bend in the plumbing design . Fixed support and sliding support should be chosen in such a way that they do not damage in the outer surface of the pipe. Expansion segment can be produced during the installation. Four elbows and pipe length would be for the free bend. Ls calculated by using this following formula. Ls = CVd AL Ls is the free bend length in mm d= outer diameter of the pipe in the mm L= Elongation in the pipe in mm C= material coefficient. JOINING METHOD OF PPR PIPES Mark the pipe Mark the pipe for depth of penetration into the heater bush and fitting. The mark must remain visible under heating and Joining. Heat pipe &fitting Push the pipe and the fitting into the heating tools. Once pipe and fitting are hot (after the correct time), pull out pipe and fit very slowly. Joint pipe & fitting Joint the pipe & the fitting and push the pipe until itreaches the mark (that has to stay outside).During the jointing time the welded part of pipe and fitting must remain fix, without any rotation. During the cooling time, the welded part of pipe and fitting can be adjusted until cold Fusion inspection The outer fusion seam must be inspected. The seam must be present all around the pipe 4 i |S Heating tool Heating tool PIPEQTECH Italia PP-R distribution system Sole Distributor in Qatar Qatar Naitional Plastic Factory POBox: 5615, Street No. 340, New Industrial Area, Doha, State of Qatar Tel: 44689977 - Fax: 44689922 Email: qnpf@qatarnet.qa Qplast ‘Scope of Test: Qplast adhering with the proper quality control of the product during the time of manufacturing and later stages. The technique called ‘blown film extrusion process’ has incorporated to manufacture the LDPE film. We manufacture these sheets under strict quality control and in accordance to British standards, BS 2781 and BS 3012. Generally the sheets are transparent, but we also produce coloured or tinted sheets as per the client's, requirements. LDPE sheets have a wide range of applications like vapour barriers in construction of roads, highways, multi-storey buildings, parking lots, basements, airfields, ports, farms, etc. they are also used as protective ‘coverings for goods, floor and barriers. We normally manufacture these sheets in the following dimensions: OPEN WIDTH THICKNESS (Meters) | Gauge 2108 200 800 2108 250 000 2t06 300 1200 2t06 400 1600. 2t03 500 2000 ‘These sheets are covered with blue sleevings, on which we print their dimension and thickness.
