diseases under any circumstances. This is your warranty requirement contract. Any terms of this contract
that are broken by the new owner, for a specific puppy purchased, will result in a breakage of the contract,
fine, and/or the return of the puppy to the breeder without return of monetary compensation to the new
owner.
Initial:
Deposits that are placed on puppies to hold them are NON REFUNDABLE and will not be refunded if
you change your mind and no longer want the puppy. Deposits are $500.00 and will go towards the full
price of the puppy. The ONLY exception is if our veterinarian finds that the puppy is unhealthy or
something happens to the puppy while in WZ Kennel’s care. A replacement puppy will be given at the

for a general health check within 72 hours of purchase. Exceptions may be made for holidays or

1
receipt from the veterinarian with a date MUST be sent to the breeder once the veterinarian visit is
completed. No claim on the health of the puppy can be made without having this receipt. This is a NO
EXCEPTION RULE. Placing your initials here means that you are aware of the date the puppy must be
seen by a veterinarian to honor the health guarantee. Date:
Initial:
We do not guarantee any death/illness/reactions if your puppy dies during a surgical procedure (ear crop,
tail crop, spay, neuter, etc.) or any procedure that requires the puppy be under anesthesia for ANY reason.
NO exception. You will not receive a refund or a replacement puppy.
Initial:
If buyer elects to do an ear crop while the puppy is in the care of WZ Kennels, the price of the puppy
must be paid in full. The price of the ear crop must be paid in full to the veterinarian whom will be
performing the surgery BEFORE the ear crop will be completed.
Initial:
Buyer is responsible for any and all costs accrued if they elect to do an ear crop. Ear crops are solely
cosmetic and WZ Kennels cannot guarantee that an ear crop will be successful. We cannot guarantee
against any death/reactions to anesthesia during an ear crop. You will not receive a refund or replacement
puppy.
Initial:
You must bring this warranty with you to make a claim.
Initial:
We do not guarantee that at any time that this puppy will be able to show, compete, or breed.
Initial:
You must comply with all requirements as written in this agreement.
Initial:
ALL PUPPIES FROM WHITZIN KENNELS WILL CARRY “WZ” AT THE BEGINNING OF THEIR
NAMES ON THEIR REGISTRATION. THIS IS MANDATORY.
Ex: WZ Kaira Wackeln Unten
This is not optional. We are proud of every puppy produced and want our kennel to be recognized as
such.
Initial:
Puppies sold with FULL registration as breeding, competing, and/or show quality are NOT guaranteed to
be breeding, competing, and/or show quality as adults. As puppies grow, their bodies change.
Conformation from puppyhood to adulthood CANNOT be guaranteed.
Initial:
Full registration does not give you the right to use my puppy as a puppy making factory to gain money for
your own benefit. They are a family member first. They should be treated as such. The puppy/dog is to be
bred within reason. Health testing at 2 years of age is recommended. Males should not be bred before 18
months. Females will not be bred before their 3rd heat or 2 years of age. Females should be retired at 5

2
years of age and males at 7 years of age. At this age, the dog should be spayed/neutered. No puppies
produced are allowed to be advertised, sold, or located in any pet store.
You MUST send me a copy of the paperwork from your veterinarian, confirming he/she has been
neutered/spayed within 30 days of your dog turning the age listed above. I do keep copies of every
contract, and I will follow up. If you do not send the appropriate paperwork, I reserve the right to
repossess the dog, and you will receive no monetary compensation. I will fix him/her and place him/her in
a home that I see fit.
Initial:
If a female or male is being abused and is being used as a puppy making machine only, she/he will be
repossessed by WZ Kennels or there will be a mandatory spay/neuter.
Initial:
By purchasing FULL registration, you are agreeing that you will take the appropriate measures to ensure
you are bettering the breed and not just breeding to make a quick buck.
Initial:
If a puppy is sold with FULL registration, the buyer acknowledges that if the puppy is a merle or
harlequin, the puppy should never be bred with another merle or harlequin of any color. We do not
advocate the practice of breeding double merles. If this occurs, the breeder will repossess the puppy/dog.
Initial:
Buyer recognizes that spaying/neutering at a young age can cause joint issues. If the puppy is
spayed/neutered before 18 months of age, this contract is null and void. For females, this means that your
puppy/dog may go into heat. If proper precautions are taken, you should have no issues keeping her
contained and away from unaltered males.
Initial:
Every puppy that comes from WZ Kennels has an AKC reunite microchip. WZ Kennels will be the first
name on the microchip. Upon receiving payment in full for the puppy, WZ Kennels will add the buyer’s
name to the microchip information. If buyer changes address, WZ Kennels will update the microchip
information. Microchip number:

This guarantee does NOT cover:
 Parasites: internal or external—ALL puppies are born with parasites and will come dewormed at
the appropriate times/ages but some worms are becoming immune to some dewormers so it is
possible that the puppy may or may not have a few parasites that my dewormers did not clear.
Puppies need continual dewormings until at least 4 months of age and then every 3 months after.
We always suggest a fecal be performed by the veterinarian during their health clearance check.
 Ringworms: this is something that can be contracted from the dirt. It is treatable, and it will not
affect your puppy long term.
 Coccidiosis: this is a bacterial otozoa and can be picked up anywhere. Stress can release this
when your puppy comes home with you.
 Giardia: This comes from dirty, contaminated water
 Hypoglycemia
 Hepatitis
 Sarcoptic Mange: This is caused by poor living conditions and is NOT genetic

3
 Demodex Mange: Can be caused from stress/quality of food throughout the puppyhood growth
periods. This CAN sometimes be considered genetic. This MAY be considered on the health
contract with a veterinarian statement and 2nd opinion from my veterinarian. It will be your
responsibility to transport puppy to my vet. You will be responsible for any/all charges accrued
from transportation of the puppy to the breeder.
 Fleas/ticks: This needs to be treated monthly by the new owner.
 Ear mites: These are contracted from the environment. Ears need to be cleaned on a regular basis.
 Heartworms: Monthly treatment
 Cherry Eye: If trauma is caused to the third eyelid can produce a protrusion with the appearance
of a red ball. This can be surgically repaired.
 Knuckling: this is from nutritional issues and is easily fixed. Contact WZ Kennels and we will
walk you through how to correct the problem.
 Flat footed: This is caused from nutritional problems and slick walking surfaces
 Infertility: I cannot guarantee that your dog will be fertile, for any reason.
 Bloat: This can be caused by allowing your dog to intake too much food or water before or after
strenuous exercise, by allowing too much air to enter the dog. Stress is also another factor
researchers are finding. Large breed, deep chested dogs are more prone.
 OCD, HOD, and PANO: This has many causes such as nutrition being the prime cause and also
the amount of exercise during crucial growth periods.
 Temperament: We take all the care in the world to choose dogs for our breeding program that
have sound mind and an excellent temperament. It is ultimately up to the new owner to raise their
puppy/dog in such a way that they are well socialized. We suggest that everyone take their puppy
to several obedience classes and SOCIALIZE.
 This also excludes visual, physical, and cosmetic features. If it is not a life threatening genetic
defect, it is not covered.
Initial:
Your puppy should not be taken on long walks/jogs or endure any strenuous activities until they are
between the ages of 1.5- 2 years old. This guarantee does not cover any injuries due to this or your puppy
falling, slipping on slippery surfaces, other animals playing too rough, etc.
Initial:
This health guarantee is valid until the puppy/dog is three (3) years of age but the return contract stands
valid for life.
Initial:
This guarantee does cover life threatening GENETIC defaults which are included in this list:
 Heart
 Lungs
 Hips/Elbows/Joints
 Kidneys
 Thyroid
If your puppy should die of any genetic problems, a necropsy is required from a state certified lab, as well
as by my veterinarian for confirmation, at BUYER’s expense. They must be able to confirm that, without
a doubt, a genetic issue was the cause of death. If your puppy dies, you MUST return all paperwork to
me, including registration papers, and sign over the ownership of the deceased dog back to WZ Kennels.
This is to ensure that the paperwork is not used to falsely register another dog. IF you fail to do so, you
will be charged a $250.00 violation fee.

4
Initial:
All complaints must be accompanied by veterinary records. If it cannot be proven, then I cannot work
with you. If your veterinarian declares that a puppy/dog produced by WZ Kennels to be genetically
flawed, please see below on how the situation will be handled:
No cash refund will be given for any reason. If within the 72 hour time span, upon availability, a puppy
from the same litter will be given to the buyer. If no puppy is available from the same litter, then a puppy
from another litter that is produced by WZ Kennels of equal or lesser value AND same color will be
given as a replacement. If the puppy is of greater value then the puppy owner must pay the remaining
balance before the replacement puppy will be picked up or shipped unless agreed upon by WZ Kennels in
writing. If a life threatening genetic default is found, the buyer has two options: (1) They may return the
original puppy with all papers and veterinary records and WZ Kennels will give a replacement puppy of
equal value, or, (2) the buyer must agree to alter the original puppy on their own dime and WZ Kennels
will supply a puppy of equal value to the original purchase price. If option 2 is chosen, a statement from
the veterinarian confirming spay/neuter must be received within 30 days of your decision to keep the
puppy/dog (if between the ages of 18-24 months) or WZ Kennels has the right to repossess the puppy at
the buyer’s expense. If option 2 is chosen, WZ Kennels is not liable for any expenses that are accrued in
the care of the original puppy.
If a claim is to be made for a non-life threatening genetic default, a written statement from your
veterinarian must be sent to WZ Kennels. At the time of review, WZ Kennels has the right to have the
puppy/dog examined by our veterinarian for a 2nd opinion at buyer’s expense. If my veterinarian agrees
with the buyer’s veterinarian, a replacement puppy of equal or lesser value will be given upon
availability.
Never, at any time, will we refund any monies.
Initial:
Upon the return of a puppy for a genetic defect, WZ Kennels will take pictures and videos of the
puppy/dog upon arrival. Our veterinarian must also confirm that the puppy/dog has been properly raised,
not neglected, and otherwise in good health. If your puppy/dog is malnourished, has visible neglect signs,
is infested with internal and/or external parasites, and IS proven to have a genetic defect, YOU WILL
NOT GET ANOTHER PUPPY FROM WZ KENNELS. You will have breached the contract and no
genetic guarantees will be honored.
Initial:
When returning a puppy, you must return all registration papers or puppy applications to us. All necessary
paperwork must be signed to transfer the puppy’s ownership back to WZ Kennels. Any transfer fees will
be paid at the buyer’s expense. If you lost your paperwork, and the puppy has already been transferred
into your name, you must contact AKC and request new paperwork. Once you receive the new
paperwork, you must sign over rights to me. If you have not transferred into your name, papers will be
returned to WZ Kennels.
Initial:
Nails should be kept trimmed at all times. Overgrown nails can cause many problems including foot
deformities and lameness. Puppies have been raised with weekly nail trims and have been introduced to
the Dremel.
Initial:

5
All medications and vaccines stated on the puppy’s medical records at the time of sale are given by my
veterinarian. We deworm with Strongid, Panacure, and Trifexis, which are purchased from the
veterinarian. We are NOT responsible should an overdose occur due to your veterinarian doubting our
records. This can make the puppy VERY sick. Please have your veterinarian call us if they are in doubt.
Initial:
The puppy/dog is to be kept up to date on all vaccinations and health checks for the duration of their life.
Initial:
This puppy is not to be given the rabies vaccine before 6 months of age. Hypertrophic Osteodystrophy
and Wobbler’s have been associated with early rabies vaccines.
Initial:
If the puppy has been given subpar dog food, we will not honor this health contract. Food must be of
good quality, with a 4+ star rating. Your puppy has been fed VICTOR brand dog food and we highly
recommend this brand for the duration of their life. We also support raw feeding, when done properly.
WZ Kennels must approve the kibble you choose to feed your puppy/dog.
Initial:
Great Danes are very susceptible to long bone deformities that are mainly caused by nutritional deficits. If
a kibble is grain free, the protein content should be no higher than 26%. If the kibble is not grain free, the
protein content should be no higher than 33%. The phosphorus and calcium levels should be no higher
than 1.3%. If the food does not meet these standards, long bones often begin to curve giving a “flat
footed” or “curve legged” appearance. We do not guarantee against flat footedness because it can occur
during growth spurts or when food is not nutritionally appropriate. This can be solved by adding 2000 mg
of Vitamin C to their daily diet.
Initial:
NEVER should a Great Dane puppy be put on puppy food unless it is specially formulated for giant breed
puppies.
Initial:
This puppy is not to be placed in an animal shelter, rescue, sold, or given away to anyone without written
consent of the breeder. The puppy at any age is to be returned to the breeder with registration papers,
contracts, and veterinary records. Other arrangements may be made and agreed upon. The puppy must
live with the person(s) who sign this contract. Any other decision, in agreement with WZ Kennels, other
than that listed in this contract must be in writing. Email is not considered written consent. In the case of
emergency, WZ Kennels will allow the puppy/dog to be taken to a reputable Great Dane rescue or
humane society. The rescue or humane society will be given all of WZ Kennel’s contact information so
arrangements can be made to get the puppy/dog back to WZ Kennels. This is for emergency ONLY and
must be approved by WZ Kennels in writing. We will not buy the dog/puppy back. If we take the puppy
back, we will not refund any monies until the puppy has found a new home. We cannot guarantee that the
puppy will be sold for the same purchase price as the original buyer paid and WZ Kennels is not
responsible for the difference.
Initial:

6
If you purchase a puppy on limited of full registration, the puppy/dog cannot be sold or transferred
without WZ Kennels written consent. The dog is yours but it cannot be sold without my written
permission. If puppy is sold without WZ Kennel’s written consent, buyer will be fined $2500.00 for
breach of contract.
Initial:
This puppy is not to be purchased as a gift for anyone that resides outside of your home UNLESS I
approve the home, in writing, and they are willing to sign this contract.
Initial:
This puppy is purchased with the understanding that it will under NO CIRUMSTANCES be euthanized
for behavioral problems. If the buyer is unwilling to invest in a behaviorist or trainer, and no longer is
able to keep the puppy/dog, the puppy/dog will be returned to WZ Kennels for further evaluation and
training. You will not receive any refund as WZ Kennels will be footing the bill for any training and
evaluations.
Initial:
This puppy is sold with the understanding that the puppy will be properly socialized. The puppy/dog
should NEVER be chained or left outside or live in a kennel. If left outside for short periods of time, the
dog/puppy must have shelter from the elements, water, and the area must be kept clean. This puppy is to
be first and foremost a family member to be kept INDOORS.
Initial:
If at any time the puppy/dog is being neglected, beaten, or not cared for properly, WZ Kennels will take
the puppy/dog with no refund given. The buyer agrees that in this event the breeder has every right to take
the dog without any hassle or harassment, and if needed WZ kennels has the right to call law enforcement
and show them this signed contract and the reason(s) why the dog is being removed from the buyer’s
home. All travel/shipping/transport fees will be paid by the owner/buyer. The puppy/dog will then be at
WZ Kennels or placed in another home as WZ Kennels sees fit. If I have to take legal action, you will be
charged for any and all expenses I incur while trying to repossess the dog.
Initial:
To ensure the health of the puppy/dog, the buyer will provide WZ Kennels with photos and videos of the
puppy/dog every three months, or four times per year for the duration of the life of the puppy/dog. We
would appreciate more pictures as we love to see our puppies grow and thrive. You may also tag us on
Facebook and post pictures to our puppy group. By neglecting to send updates, you leave us to assume
that the puppy/dog from WZ Kennels has been sold, traded, given away, hurt, thrown outside in a
kennel/shed/chained, deceased, etc. We will first ask for a picture. If a picture is not provided, we will be
forced to act as if the dog is being neglected and we will reinforce our contract through the legal system.
Once you purchase a puppy from WZ Kennels, we consider you as part of our extended family.
Initial:
Buyer gives permission to Erin Shue and Bettyann Sabrina Warner to come onto their property to see
puppy at any time if the breeder feels it is warranted.
Initial:

WZ Kennels requires that you keep your puppy/dog vaccines/flea prevention/heart guard up to date at all
times as well as keep the puppy/dog on a proper deworming schedule. You must keep all documentation
proving that you followed a proper vaccination schedule as laid out by a veterinarian.
Initial:
WZ Kennels asks that your puppy is not taken to public places such as dog parks, pet stores, or anywhere
where other animals frequent until at least 3 months of age or the age that your puppy has had all of its
shots/boosters. Parvo can and will kill your dog and it is everywhere. Parvo can be easily avoided if you
take the necessary precautions. We do not guarantee against parvo as it is 100% preventable if proper
precautions are taken.
Initial:
WZ Kennels is available at any time for the life of your puppy for any questions/concerns/support you
may have or need. Please feel free and do not hesitate to contact us via email, phone, or postal service.
Initial:
Buyer is aware that upon change of address or change of phone number, WZ Kennels must be informed.
If WZ Kennels is having difficulty getting in contact with buyer, a private investigator will be hired at
buyer’s expense. As it is a breach of contract, once found, WZ Kennels has the right to repossess the
puppy/dog at the buyer’s expense and/or fine the buyer $2,000.00.
Initial:
This sales contract and health guarantee has been read and understood by both parties (breeder/new
owner) whom will sign the buyer and seller portion below. In the even that there is a breach in any
portion of this contract, there will either be a fee assessed as listed in each portion or the dog/puppy will
be repossessed by WZ Kennels.
Initial:
I fully understand and agree to the terms on this sales agreement and health guarantee. I fully agree to the
above terms by signing this contract. I also understand that there will at no time be a cash refund for any
reason.
Initial:
This contract must be notarized by a legal notary. This can be completed at almost any bank. We
recommend that you print off a copy of this contract for yourself to keep in your own records.
