 CAPASITOR

Here I will explain, what is a capacitor? maybe

your thoughts that come to mind are about
electro. for children electro majors may be
familiar in your mind hehe.

The picture besides is a picture of the

capacitor, there are actually a lot of various
images of capacitors but the wrong one select this part of the general course, so you
know the picture like what hehe. Capacitors are usually used for practical purposes
such as assembling an electrical circuit that requires a capacitor and as a tool for
practice related to electronics.

Symbol of the capacitor like the picture on

the side, you can see that the shape of the
capacitor is a parallel shaped plate. the
plate means to store a suplay of electrical
energy and release it when needed. The picture beside shows that capacitor has
different type there are norm and etc. The plate of the capacitor is made of dielectric
material. dielectric material is an isolator that is to feed the hot load so it does not
cause heat to the capacitor. Dielectric material also affects the value of the capacitor
itself. dielectric materials such as from mica, paper, ceramics and etc.

Capacitors have a variety of shapes and sizes, depending on capacity, working

voltage, and etc.
PART OF THE CAPASITOR

1. The negative pole

This negative pole is the polarity of the
capacitor. So that later placement in the
source neutral. As we already know in 1
phase electricity there is a voltage source,
this voltage is phase and phase neutral is
symbolized with + and neutral with -.

2. The Positive pole

The positive pole on the capacitor is the
second polarity after the negative, jaid if
there is a negative pole then there is also a
positive pole. they both are a couple.

3. Dielectric (isolator)
This dielectric serves as an isolator on the capacitor, the insulator itself intends if
the charge of electrical charge in it, it will not teraliri charge itself. so it's not like
the conductor material that is easy to get electrically charged.

4. Metal Plate
Metal plate is plate from the capacitor to store the charge.
5. Aluminium
Aluminium is part of the capacitor so as not to rust.
6. Plastic insulation
Plastic Insulation to isolate the outside of the capacitor.

THE FUNCTION OF CAPASITOR

The general function of the capacitor is as a capacitive load balancer, such as
resistive load, capacitive and inductive.
The function of capacitors in the electronic circuit is usually as follows:
1. Capacitor as a coupling, seen from the nature of the capacitor that is passed
through ac currents and can not be passed through the dc current can be used to
separate 2 pieces of unrelated circuit in dc but still related in ac (signal), meaning
a capacitor serves as a clutch or connecting between 2 different circuits.
2. Capacitor serves as a filter on a power supply circuit, I mean here is a capacitor
as a ripple filter, here the nature of the capacitor that is able to store the electrical
charge that serves to cut the ripple voltage.
3. Capacitor as phase shifter.
4. Capacitor as a frequency generator in the oscilator circuit.
5. Capacitors are also used to prevent sparks on a switch.

WORK PRINCIPLE OF THE CAPASITOR

Here I distribute it with the Lamp.

The capasitoris connected to the batery and
then disconnected and supplied to the lamp.
The lamp lights will be on but only
temporarily because the capasitif charge of
the batery to the capasitor is supplied to the
lamp. So as to produce energy whitout using
the batery.

APLICATION OF THE CAPASITOR

1. Flash light on camera and car

2. Touchscreen
 3. And in the power transmission line

TYPE OF THE CAPASITOR

1. Capasitor Non Polar
Capasitor Non polar has a fixed capacity and
capacityis not too large. Colors of the capasitor
non polar is yellow and blue.
Usually made of paper , ceramic and mica.
Price of the capasitor non polar from
Rp.40.000 until Rp. 100.000 .

2. Capasitor Polar
Capasitor Polar has a polarity on
both legs. Any negative (-) and
positive (+). Colors of capasitor polar
usually is black.
Price of the capasitor polar from Rp.
60.000 until Rp. 100.000.

3. Capasitor Variable
Capasitor Variable has a the
value of its capacitybe change as
you needed. Cplos of the
capasitor variable is white. Can
you see in picture beside. Price
of the capasitor variable is
Rp.500.000
