PROJECT R&D+I

TITLE
QI2LEARN - INTERACTIVE TABLES IN LEARNING

HIGHLIGHTS
Production of interactive digital content for use in interactive whiteboards and in
complementary teaching and learning environments, namely in Higher Education.

ABSTRACT
The main objective of the QI2Learn Project was to produce interactive digital content for use in
interactive whiteboards and in complementary teaching and learning environments, namely in
Higher Education.

The tactile surfaces available in interactive whiteboards, smartphones, tablets, multi-touch all-in-
one PCs, are increasingly widespread and allow the manipulation of digital objects, in particular
from a learning perspective.

In an academic context, content and communication are increasingly supported by multimedia

that stimulates the motivation and involvement of a generation "educated" by the image from an
early age. In this way, it becomes pertinent the development of educational contents, for use in
interactive whiteboards. The use of interactive whiteboards in class context allows the use of
tools of the system itself for the construction of contents during the lesson and the exploration of
interactive contents prepared externally for the lesson.

The contents produced in the QI2Learn project were developed by the consortium formed
between Nautilus, leader of the consortium, and the Portuguese Catholic University – Faculty of
Biotechnology.
