From the start of this technology class we have been integrating technology in all

assignments at it is a great practice for us educators, I am now realizing how important

copyrights can be. It is important for teachers to be aware of the content that they are using in the

classroom and know that it is okay to reuse. It is great to be learning of the different websites that

can be used in a classroom. While creating our website I didn’t really pay attention to how using

a photo from google can get me into trouble for not paying attention to the usage rights. I do

understand that before using and integrating anything in a lesson I must first make sure that it is

okay for me to use the content.

In the little time that I have been part of this awesome course I have already learned so

much on different technology tools that are out there for teachers to use in classrooms. I really

enjoyed the lessons that we did as a group in our classroom as not only did we learn on different

topics of school education but as well got to navigate and explore different technology tools. The

SAMR model is designed to support teachers to use technology as a tool to develop different

lessons for the students. This model In this we have Redefinition, which tells us that technology

will help the student develop their work in a creative and new way. Modification, where the

technology allows us to redesign the task. WE also have Augmentation, where technology is a

tool that is used for the work being preformed. Lastly we have Substitution, where technology

takes place of the task being preformed.

During one of our group presentations we were also able to learn about the Technological

Pedagogical Content Knowledge. This model teaches us how a teachers expertise is. Here we

learn of how a teacher will use technology as a tool to give their knowledge of the content that is

being taught to the student, however must know what they are teaching really well. This module

includes 3 main points, which are the Pedagogical Knowledge, where a teacher is the one whom

has the strategies, the application of learning theory and as well the grading practices. Next we

have the Technological knowledge, where technology is helpful to not only the teacher but as

well the students. Lastly we have the Content Knowledge, where the actual lesson content is

located.
