Happy Valentine’s Day
On Wednesday, February 14th we
will be exchanging Valentines in
our homerooms. If you choose to
pass out Valentine's, you must
bring one for every child in your
homeroom. Your child’s homeroom
teacher will send class lists home
on Class Dojo.
Winter Dance
! day - SCHOOL DAY
The Winter Dance is coming up on
Friday, February 9th from 6:00
8:30 PM. Don’t forget to sign-up/
register your family for this evening
of fun and dance. Tickets are $8
each. All FPDE students must be
accompanied by a parent or
guardian.

went home on Friday, February
2nd. Please sign and return the
envelope. Contact your child’s
teacher if you have any questions.

 Health Update
Winter sickness season is upon us!
According to WCPSS policy students
must be sent home if they have a
fever of 100.0 or greater. Students
cannot return to school until they have
been fever free (without using Tylenol
or Motrin) for 24 hours. Please help
us keep everyone healthy and allow
time for sick students' bodies and
immune systems to recover by
following these policies.
Field Trip
$75.00 covers the chartered buses,
admission to the Battleship & Island to
Sound Exploration for students.
Payment Choices
1 payment of $75.00 due by 2/20
or
2 payments of $37.50
1st payment due by 2/20
2nd payment due by 3/6
You may pay by check, cash or online
(http://osp.osmsinc.com/wakeNC).
Permission slips due by February 20th
Chaperones are limited to 7 per
homeroom. The chaperone fee of
$42.50 - must be paid directly to the
school by February 20th
The first 7 that complete the following
will be our chaperones:
•  Return the signed chaperone form
•  Pay the $42.50 fee
•  Be approved as a chaperone
through Wake County Public
Schools.
Candy Grams
Fifth grade will be selling Candy Grams
again for Valentine's Day. The Candy
Grams will be on sale from Monday,
February 5th - Friday, February 9th with
the Candy Grams being delivered on
Wednesday, February 14th. Again, the
Candy Grams are $0.25 each. Students
will have 2 different messages to pick
from. We will have fifth grade students
visiting each homeroom in the morning to
sell the Candy Grams.
Our Learning
!
Math
In Math, we will be working on
patterning for the next week and then
moving on to fractions. Remember,
your child should be doing an hour of
MobyMax per week. You can log in as
a parent to check your child’s progress
by choosing parent when signing on and
using your child’s username and
password. More information can be
found in the math section of our
website.
Literacy
We are in the middle of book clubs!
Everyone is reading a historical fiction
book related to World War II. Most of
the reading and assignments related to
the reading will be completed in school.
If your child does not get the assigned
work done during class time, they will
have to finish it for homework.
