OUTSIDE THE FRONT DOOR -DAY The frame is filled with a CLOSEUP SHOT of a letter adressed to Esther Clark, the protagonist, asking her to collect the belongings of her recently deceased uncle from his house in order to prepare it for sale. THE CAMERA ZOOMS OUT FROM THE LETTER AND SHOWS ESTHER HOLDING IT. She folds the letter and takes out a key from the envelope. 1. INT. INSIDE THE CORRIDOR The doors creak as ESTHER steps into the empty house. She's been here many times, but never alone. After putting her coat away she takes out a small gold locket out of her pocket. Opens it. 200M ONTO THE LOCKET Inside there is a photo of a young man with a big warm smile on his face. It's the uncle. CAMERA CHANGES FOCUS FROM THE LOCKET TO PHOTOGRAPHS ON THE WALL. There are some framed awards and other impressive trinkets out on display. CAMERA PANS BACK TO ESTHER she sighs with a sad smile, puts the locket down on a counter and steps deeper into the house. a, INT, LIVING ROOM The living room is filled with various decorations and trophies. Stuffed animal heads mounted on the walls. Before she never really payed attention to how unsettling they looked. CAMERA FOLLOWS ESTHER AS SHE WALKS THROUGH THE LIVING ROOM INTO THE LIBRARY INT. LIBRARY722018 Dra a After looking around the library for a while she opens up a bunch of boxes she brought with her and starts packing books from the shelves. ds INT, LIBRARY - JUMP TO EVENING Most of the books from the shelves are now packed. CAMERA PANS FROM THE SHELVES ONTO A TABLE WITH STILL A FEW BOOKS ON IT. Camera follows as ESTHER grabs them and places them inside one of the boxes which is almost fully packed. Now we see the empty table in the background and Esther in the foreground. CAMERA Z00MS INTO ESTHERS FACE AS SHE GENTLY SMILES WITH ACCOMPLISHMENT AND TURNS AROUND TO FACE THE TABLE Suddenly her smile drops CAMERA NOW REVEALS THAT A BOOK SHE JUST PACKED INTO THE BOX IS BACK ON THE TABLE. ESTHER looks confused. Curious she opens it. ZOOM ON THE BOOK As ESTHER flips through the pages she sees photos of her uncle. In each shot he is holding weapons and is surrounded by dead animals. Some of them are of endangered species. The animals on the photographs now begin to decompose as she's looking at them. 4 THE SCENE IS INTERRUPTED BY A LOUD THUD COMING FROM BEHIND ONE OF THE BOOKSHELVES. THE CAMERA QUICKLY CUTS AND FACES IN THAT DIRECTION The floor creaks. Eerie steps can be heard as a shadowy tiger emerges from the darkness. It's slowly walking towards Esther, staring her straight in the eye, growling. As it walks it begins to decompose right before her eyes. CAMERA CUTS BACK TO ESTHER She's frozen in fear. A ghostly image of the uncle's sinister smile has overlapped her face. CAMERA MOVES DOWN ONTO THE FLOOR The shot shows only Esther's legs slowly moving back722018 Dra CAMERA BACK ON THE TIGER It moves forwards, closer and closer into the camera, visibly preparing to pounce. As it begins the jump its almost just a skeleton. Mid air its just ghostly dust. CAMERA TURNS BACK TO ESTHER Terrified she puts down her hands which she instinctively put up for guard. A cloud of glowing dust slowly settles before her. INT. INSIDE THE HOUSE Panicked she rushes out of the library and towards the front door. As she passes the living room the animal heads on the walls start decomposing, flaps of flesh faling on the floor and then turning into dust. The camera follows as she's running through the house. She grabs her coat and rushes out of the house, leaving the locket behind. THE CAMERA FOCUSES ON THE PHOTO INSIDE THE LOCKET Slowly the whole of the photograph is revealed.
