threats and the whole aspect of the response.

see just how much was directly impacted by the stressful 13 day period that almost ended
both nations. The primary documents that are used to elaborate on each claim and event
gave my argument a more sound foundation, and I used them to support my overall
claim.In my argument, I used this source, mostly, to describe the events that led to the
crisis, as well as the massive impact that it left behind once the compromise was made.

the world. I was given insight into what impact was made on each of these countries, both

what was going on in the heads of those involved, from what they were implementing to
what the outcome was. This primary source is useful to our website as it shows where the
USSR would have attacked the United States. That would have taken a huge toll as they

plans from the crisis itself and better understand the severity of what was going on during
this time period. I used this source to provide specific examples from transcripts of the
nations’ leaders regarding what was going on to strengthen my argument. The specific
details that are given, as well as being able to read what happened from the people who
were involved, gave my paper a much more professional and in-depth tone.

right. President Obama saw the troubles that were caused and realized that if he can make
peace with China, Vietnam, etc., then he can do it with Cuba too. This will help our

This overview-based excerpt from an encyclopedia provided me with a valid overview of


everything that went on during the Cuban Missile Crisis of 1962. While no specific

provided me with dates and details that allowed me to strengthen my outlook on the topic

This document gives us the insight of a third party inside of the Soviet Union that help
great power. Khrushchev tried to instigate the fight in his country and pushed for the war
to happen. This is useful as it shows more of how the Soviet Union wanted a war while

and, seeing how he played a major role in the Cuban Missile Crisis as the United States’
president, it is a relevant topic. It tells of his sponsoring of his Bay of Pigs invasion of
Cuba, which, some argue, was the final straw that led to the Cuban Missile Crisis
growing to be such a huge problem rather than staying contained and at a standstill. We
used this article to enhance our website with what was going on in the life of JFK during
the time of this Crisis, what decisions he made that impacted the outcome, and what he
thought about the aftermath in the short time after the ceasefire before his assassination.

that there were sides when it came to who was going to defend who and that other

was vital to our project because it showed a good lasting impact of the Cuban Missile
Crisis, especially in the form of tense relations between Russia and the United States. It
made many valid points in limited detail, but those points gave us something to further
extend our research on.

The website gives a detailed description of what the war would have led to had John F.
Kennedy not stepped in and took matters the way he did. It shows that the Soviet Union
was already planning for a nuclear war and not trying to stop the attack, but more as
promote hostility and put others in danger. As the source says, it was close to a brink in
destruction. We used this source in our project both as a way to fully emphasize the threat
of the Cuban Missile Crisis, as well as to show some modern-day thinking looking back
on it.

This database, containing documents, informational videos, maps, and photographs,


broke down, in detail, each and every event that took place over the course of the Cuban
Missile Crisis. Each of the "overviews" of the topics was backed up by a very strong and
clear explanation of what happened during that event and what its impact was on what
happened next. I used this site to justify the order in which all of the events happened, as
well as to verify the "chain reaction" that went along with them, as one event triggered
the next. I realized that, once the Soviet Union's missiles were placed, there was no way
to stop the chain of events that followed. I gained a much better understanding of what
each part of the crisis was, when and why it happened, and how it correlated with what
came before and what was yet to come.

This animated video explained everything that happened over the course of the Cuban
Missile Crisis in a nutshell. While it did not have all of the specific details that needed to
be included in my paper, it gave me a much better understanding of what was going on
during the time of this crisis. I was able to fully comprehend everything that was going
on, and it helped me form a very strong idea for what the topics that would give me an
accurate, interesting, and specific argument. I used this database for ideas, overviews, and
to gain a better understanding of what went on during this time in history.
