VIDEOCONFERENCE with the USA

Buckingham Browne and Nichols School, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA

You are going to talk to American students who are studying Spanish. But before
talking to them (skype) you have to get ready. Follow the steps:

1. Students’ presentation.
1. Write a presentation talking about you: name, surname, age, city (location in
Spain), school, family, friends, hobbies, sports...and reason why you want to
talk to them.
2. Show your writing to the teacher.
3. Record your presentation.
4. Send it to the teacher: mgamisa2@xtec.cat

1. In class, you are going to record a video of 1 minute talking in English about you

and your hobbies to introduce yourself to an American student.

2. If you don’t have an account, you must create one.

3. You will have two weeks to connect with one of the American students to exchange
a conversation in English and Spanish.

4. You can choose:

a. 2 days (one day to talk in English and the other one in Spanish):

it cannot be less than 7 minutes every day.

b. 1 day (half of the conversation in English and half in Spanish):15 minutes.

•Think about the topics you would like to talk about and if you want to practise a

specific grammatical aspect or something you need help with or that you have

questions about. Your teacher might help you.

5. The conversation must be recorded to get a mark for the subject.

!!! Look at the tutorial in order to learn how to record your conversation while you are
