during a period of training. The study was performed with a thirty-five-year-old male, a
beginner in bodybuilding practice, performing his training in the morning three times a
week in one-hour training sessions. There were no aerobic workouts. A Par-
questionnaire, a physical activity readiness questionnaire was previously applied and five
monthly physical evaluations were performed. The anthropometric instruments were
used: clinical adipometer from Sanny, Cescorf anthropometric tape with sequential scale
and resolution at 1 mm, Cescorf's caliper, balance with a maximum capacity of up to 150
kg and Balmak vertical stadiometer with a resolution of 0.5 cm and height maximum of
2m. After five months of resistance training, an increase in the values of the total weight,
lean and fat, was observed numerically, affecting the increase of the percentage of fat and
increase of the perimeters, as well as, without somatotype. In relation to the neuromotor
tests positive progress was observed only without abdominal resistance test.
