A. You pick a card from a set of cards with numbers 1-12 and then a marble is selected at
random from a jar containing 3 red marbles, 2 green marbles, 2 blue marbles, and a
black marble. Find each probability. Show your complete solution.
B. A jar contains 8 red marbles, 6 white marbles, and 2 green marbles. A marble is drawn
randomly from the jar and not replaced. A second marble is drawn. Find the probability
of each of the following events
2. Two coins will be picked from a jar containing three 5-peso coins, six 10-peso coins
and twelve 1-peso coins. What is the probability that the first coin picked is a 1-
peso coin, then without replacement, the second coin picked is a 5-peso coin?
3. The probability that a student plays guitar and piano in Swift’s School of
Performing Arts is 0.08. The probability that a student plays piano is 0.40. What is
the probability that a student plays guitar given that the student plays the piano?
4. The teacher of a class that has 10 boys and 6 girls needs to pick two volunteers.
She randomly chooses two students from the class. Find the probability that:
a. she chooses a girl first and then a boy
5. A spinner numbered 1 through 15 is spun. What is the probability that the number
where the pointer stopped is 13 given that the number where the pointer stopped
was an odd number?
