4th Grade Classroom Teacher
Charged with teaching a self-contained regular education classroom with an average of 22 students. Service diverse
student population from economically challenged backgrounds in a school setting that is fully inclusive of students with
special needs and English Language Learners. Develop and teach Common Core Curriculum in all areas except Fine Arts
and PE. Teach ELA, Reading, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Collaborate with grade-level team in developing
curriculum aligned to Common Core standards for ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Create and implement lesson
plans, as well as assess student needs; administer state and local assessments.
 Improved Math scores by 20%; began Math Interventions during 2006 and 2007 Education Leadership Internship;
handled scheduling and observation of staff who implemented the program.

As 4th Grade Team Leader for 2 years from 2007 – 2009, facilitated comprehensive 4 – 5 curriculum with scope and
sequence aligned with Illinois State Standards.

As a member of the School Leadership Team for 4 years from 2005 – 2009 collaborated with school administrators
