Aspects of Beliefs
Learning many different types of religions and how they work, I can see how my faith
and some of the beliefs I have could not be liked or agreed with. The first one that comes to mind
for me is thinking someone must be a Christian to follow God. To get to heaven, Christianity
believes you must believe in God and follow Christianity. Many religions would disagree with
my religious belief and even not like it. Hinduism believes that all paths that lead to God are
valid and that all other belief systems are respected and accepted. Another belief that others
might not like is Christianity believing in the holy trinity, The father, son, and the holy ghost.
Christianity follows the bible and other religions such as the Jews would not agree with that
because they follow the Torah. Christians believe that there are heaven and a hell and once you
die, that is where you go. Buddhist’s believe in reincarnation and they would look at Christianity
beliefs as different and would not agree or like that belief. Christians think they must preach the
gospel to everyone. Other religions think it that if someone is willing to want to learn their
religion, they will teach and share the word. Some Christians sometimes seem to force their
beliefs and religion on people. Many faiths would not like that Christians push their religion and
beliefs on others. One thing I think that other faiths would look at differently is how Christians
worship. Some religions are practiced by individuals and not as a group, such as Wicca.
Christians seem to follow a rigorous schedule of coming together and worshipping while
religions such as Wicca worship mostly alone and have the connection with God. While
Christians have time with God themselves that is their spirituality with God and not their
religious worships. As I have looked at different religions, I have seen that many religions would
look at Christianity and not agree or like many things Christians do or say.
