RG-1000e firmware upgrade guide

This document describes how to perform RG-1000e firmware upgrade. Steps below refer to firmware 2.2.0 and
CPS R2.2.0. You should use the same consequence of steps to update RG-1000e with another firmware release.

What is needed to upgrade RG-1000e with firmware 2.2.0:

 RG-1000e CPS R2.2.0;
 RG-1000e firmware files, RG1000e-2v20.bin and RG1000e-2v20.rom (or M300-2v20.bin and M300-
2v20.rom;
 USB cable A-miniB;
 an external power supply 12-14 VDC, 0.5 A;
 a desktop PC or a laptop works under Win 7\8\8.1\10 OS.

Attention!
 For upgrade RG-1000e with firmware 2.2.0 you must use only CPS R2.*.*. Using another CPS releases
such as R1.*.* or R3.*.* corrupts firmware data, and as the result RG-1000e should be returned to a
service depot for recovering.
 To perform firmware upgrade you should disconnect RG-1000e from a donor radio and connect the unit
to an external power supply via Power socket (for more detailed info see “RG-1000e User Guide” chapter
4.3).

1. Locate CPS RG-1000e 2.2.0 into a desirable folder on your desktop PC (or laptop) and run it.
If it is the first time when you run CPS RG-1000e on the PC you should install RG-1000e driver (for more
detailed info see “CPS RG-1000e User Guide” chapter 1). Once CPS is running, you see the program start
