Abstract
Abstact
In my state examination I describe how I developed the children’s knowledge about faction
with interactive white board.
In the course of my development I used an interactive board named IQ Board and the Smart
Notebook 11 program. The slides I took from the website http://www.tananyagpiac.hu/, and I also
made some slides using the same program.
In the first part of my state examination I describe the literature about how to teach
mathematics, the steps of teaching mathematics, how to use the interactive whiteboard, and
possibilities of how to use it in the education.
In the second part I want to display my .investigation by which I measure, in the course of
pretesting, the children’s knowledge about fractions, and I also measured the degree of the
motivation. Finally in the posttest I measured the influence of the interactive whiteboard on
teaching and the degree of the motivation if that changed.
. I formulated two hypotheses. The first was that if I exercise with the children the fraction
enough, and I use Information and Communication Technologies as a complementary method in
the traditional education, therefore I will rise the children’s attention and they will develop well.
The second was based on my presumptions that if I use in teaching, as a complementary method
in the traditional education, Information and Communication Technologies to exercise fractions,
therefore the children will show positive feelings during exercise fractions, so their motivation will
grow.
My research with the help of the students was a developmental experiment, which contains
the 3 basic stage of every pedagogical research: assessment, investigation and evaluation. In my
research I used a pre- and post-test paper and by the time of 8 developmental courses, I taught a
class of 16 students.
The evaluation and analysis of the results of the pre- and post-testing and the statistic
calculation of these results confirmed my two hypotheses.
There were two groups: an experimental and a control group and there was a major
difference between them. While the experimental group had considerable achievements, the
control group had only a little progress. We can draw the conclusion that if we exploit the
possibilities offered by interactive whiteboard and the other equipment of the Modern Information
and Communication Technologies, than the children will develop more. Therefore it is very
important to pay attention to teaching these difficult notions and to rise the children’s attention
with the help of more varied, creative and colorful exercises.
