THE ITALIAN GO-KART
MANUFACTURING COMPANY
The manufacturing company, based in Salizzole near Verona
(Italy), was founded in 2002 by Mirko Sguerzoni to work
alongside SKM, the first brand born ten years before. It has
grown phenomenally thanks to the practical and theoretical
background of Sguerzoni and it becomes one of the leading
kart producers in the World.

THE CORE BUSINESS:

The core business of the company is the projection and
production of go-kart chassis and spare parts, all the products
are manufactured internally and are completely MADE IN
ITALY.

THE PHILOSOPHY:
The philosophy adopted to manage the production is to
select the best quality of the raw materials, that before the
large production, are tested in order to guarantee the best
performance and reliability at the track.

THE MISSION:
The mission is offer to the market high technological products
of the best quality and the best service of customer care.
Intrepid is very proud of its consolidate World-wide dealers
that is involved in all the promotional actions with the goal to
grow-up the prestige of the brand in each Country.
Intrepid is present in more than 40 Countries and, of course,
the Intrepid dealer is the point of reference for all the
passionate of Intrepid. The official Intrepid dealer is easily

recognizable because its brand is formed of: Intrepid + the
name of the Country represented. Intrepid invites each dealer
to follow the guide line of the head office using the Intrepid
design for the web-site and all the promotional means.
Intrepid strength point is the constant technological
development up to the most demanding International
competitions. In order to offer competitive and innovative
chassis, Intrepid fully concentrates in finding out forefront
solutions and emerging technologies thanks to a team made
up of top level technicians, engineers and the director Mirko
Sguerzoni.
The company business structure is formed of:

events and to promote the brand in the motorsport;

aim to find the best technical solutions;
- Drivers Scouting dpt. to be constantly in contact with
the youngest and most talented drivers and help
them to reach the maximum levels.
Moreover, Intrepid is constantly searching for new talents

and for this reason avail oneself of the collaboration of the
World wide dealers network. All the dealers have to continue
the guideline of the head office respecting the philosophy
and organizing a racing team to race in the most important
national championships. In this way, each dealer can recognize
the best national drivers, from 12 to 15 years old, that will be
recommended to Intrepid and insert in the International Top
Drivers Selection.
Intrepid idealized the International Top Drivers Selection to
offer to the drivers a real occasion to put themselves to the
test in several technical conditions and under the supervision
of important professionals of the motorsport.
The goal of this project is offer to the best drivers two
important chances:
1- To become part of the Intrepid Official Junior Team;
2- To be under the supervision of the best Formula 1
teams thanks to the prestigious connections that
Intrepid created in the past years.
Since 2009, Intrepid tested in Lonato (South Garda Karting
– Italy) around 150 junior drivers coming from all over the
World, the best ones have been part of the Junior Team and,
now a day, are under contract with Red Bull, Lotus or Ferrari.
The major representatives of this program are Sebastién
Buemi, Jaime Alguersuari and Jules Bianchi.
In this perspective, Intrepid involves all the business partners
in this International program to create interest in the youngest
drivers that are the future of Karting, as for their career as
future buyers of Intrepid karts.

2014: INTREPID RACING SEASON
SATELLITE TEAMS: The Satellite Teams are the teams
created by the Intrepid dealers to promote the brand.
The Teams take part to the National Championships of
each Country and, when there are the prerequisites,
Intrepid supports the most talented drivers supplying
the materials in order to help them to attend the races
and to promote the Intrepid chassis.

OFFICIAL RACING TEAM: The Intrepid Official

Racing Team takes part to the most important
International Championship of the CIK FIA and WSK
(around 10-12 races each season) in the classes: KF
Junior, KF and KZ.

The KF Junior is formed of 4/5 emergent drivers, of 13

years old, coming from all over the World;
The KF is formed of 2 drivers, emergent but with good
experience;
The KZ is formed of 2 professional drivers and 1 young
driver with the main goal to develop the chassis,
promote the brand with high results and test the
materials before each race.
The Team is managed by a director, in charge from
the head office, that is at disposal of all the dealers
to promote the technical developments and guarantee
the best support.

OFFICIAL ROTAX TEAM: The Team takes part to the

Rotax Winter Cup, the Euro Challenge and to the Open
International and its directly managed by Intrepid.
The Official structure will be present on the circuits to
support the 8 drivers that will join the classes: Rotax
Junior, Rotax Senior and Rotax DD2.
The Team is managed by a director, in charge from
the head office, that is at disposal of all the dealers
to promote the technical developments and guarantee
the best support.

FRONT CERAMIC BRAKE DISC

Technical matters:
During the race, the ceramic disc offers big advantages to the braking efficacy. This is possible thanks to the lower
operating temperature.
Lightness: -70% on standard weight.
During the acceleration, the ceramic rear disc gives immediate advantages applying a lower weight on the rotating mass.
During the lock in the fastest bends, the front ceramic disc, used on the KZ - KF model, helps the gyroscopic effect.
Sold individually too.

NEW ADJUSTABLE PEDALS SYSTEM for KF
The new pedals system has been studied for the drivers that, even if they have
the required age to race in the Junior categories, aren’t so high. This adjustable
system gives the possibility to retreat the position of the legs and the feet with-
out modify the barycenter of the driver.
The new front wheel hub is realized with the integral regulation system that
permits to increase the grip on the limber. It’s adapt for the KF and KZ catego-
ries and it’s available in the aluminum and magnesium versions (on request).

The system is product in aluminum from the solid.
