PURPOSE: To inform the mass, especially the students, what is cramming and what are
its benefits.
I. INTRODUCTION
Attention Getter: You don’t want to cram but you are just productive at night?
Then you are worrying if it is just normal. Well, you don’t have to worry. A recent
study found that people with higher IQs tend to be more active nocturnally, going
to bed later, whereas those with lower IQs usually retire to bed sooner after
nightfall.
Thesis statement: Using these two points, I will attempt to give you information
about cramming and why do people cram.
III. BODY
a. Point one: What is cramming?
i. Sub-point A: Cramming is the practice of working intensively to
absorb large volumes of informational material in short amounts of
time.
ii. Sub-point B: Cramming is a natural thing that happens to all of us
at some point. We have all experienced it and it can result due to
procrastination, over-committed schedule, low motivation to study
on a regular basis and underachievement
Transition: Now that we know what cramming is, let’s look at what are its
benefits.
