GJCians bagged awards in the Nueva Ecija Private Pre-Elementary Elementary Schools

Association CD IV Quiz Bee held last November 17, 2017 at General de Jesus College.

GJC dominated the Mathematics category with the following winners: Monique M.
Wycoco (Kindergarten), 1st place; Charlize Zyrelle G. Trinidad (Grade 1), 1st place; Joequim
Mhykel G. Cruz (Grade 2), 2nd place; Kaye Franchesca S. Torres (Grade 3), 2nd place; Leiza Kisha
F. Salas (Grade 4), 2nd place; John Kyle S. Torres (Grade 5), 1st place; and John Kenneth S.
Nagayo (Grade 6), 1st place.

For the Science category, the winners were: Maxene Jade V. Novelles (Kindergarten), 2 nd
place; Jared Ronn Alonzo (Grade 1), 3rd place; Isabella Gabrielle M. Manabat (Grade 2), 4th
place; Sean Kyle O. Mariano (Grade 3), 2nd place; Kristine Joyce M. de Guzman (Grade 5), 1st
place; and Nicole M. Wycoco (Grade 6), 1st place.

The winners in the English category were: John Simon G. Taruc (Kindergarten), 3rd place;
Bea Mariz D.C. Javate (Grade 1), 4th place; Kevon P. Banayo (Grade 2), 2nd place; Jon Lawrenze
D.G. Franco (Grade 3), 1st place; Aaron James E. Pueblo (Grade 4), 6th place; and Jashley Steph
D.G. Constantino (Grade 5), 4th place.
 Young GJCians brought home awards in the National Leadership Assembly and Talent Fair
sponsored by the Association of the Philippine Private Schools Administrators and Mentors (APPSAM)
held last October 5-7, 2017 at Teachers’ Camp, Baguio City.

Students emerged as winners in the group categories. In choral recitation, the following
students bagged 2nd place: Celine Sayo, Paulene Patiag, Kenneth Nagayo, Sean Atayde, Ariz Joshua
Alberto, Quelvin Sugay, Nicole Wycoco, Jancheiko Avery Juan, Josiah Castillo, Kristoffer Mangulabnan,
Gerald Quetua, Miguel Cabiedes, Charles Gutierrez, Yrvine Cruz, John Kyle Torres, Kyle Banayo, Yimrhaq
Mariano, Jana Mariano, Ahyan Lopez, Justine del Rosario and Linsay delos Reyes.

In Sabayang Pagbigkas, the following won as 3rd place: Celine Sayo, Paulene Patiag, Kenneth
Nagayo, Sean Atayde, Ariz Joshua Alberto, Quelvin Sugay, Nicole Wycoco, Jancheiko Avery Juan, Josiah
Castillo, Kristoffer Mangulabnan, Gerald Quetua, Miguel Cabiedes, Charles Gutierrez, Yrvine Cruz, John
Kyle Torres, Kyle Banayo, Yimrhaq Mariano, Jana Mariano, Ahyan Lopez, and Linsay delos Reyes.

For the individual categories, Nicole Wycoco won 2nd place in the Science Quiz Bee and 5th place
in the Essay Writing contest. Celine Sayo made it as 2nd place in Biglaang Talumpatian and 3rd place in
Interpretative Reading. Sean Marco Atayde bagged the 7th place in Essay Writing. For poster making,
Roenan James Crisostomo won 8th place. Ann Paulene Patiag was garnered Best in Uniform in the Mr.
and Ms. APPSAM Personality pageant.

Other participants advanced as finalists for other individual categories. They are the following:
Celine Sayo (Pagbigkas ng Tula, Poetry Reading, Madamdaming Pagbigkas), John Kyle Torres (General
Information Quiz Bee), Ariz Joshua Alberto (Spelling Bee), John Kenneth Nagayo (Math Quiz Bee), and
Eisha Sofia Fernando (Vocal Solo).
